I stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.
We advised that we would arrive late on Thursday (after 11 at night) because our flight from Spain was a night flight. We had been told that there was no problem. Well, when we arrived at the hotel, a little before midnight, we started trying to check-in at the automatic machine (because the hotel does not have a reception). We tried more than 20 times but the machine kept telling us that our last name and our confirmation number were wrong and that we should call a contact phone number to find a solution. We called the number three times and in no case they were responsible. They told us that they couldn't do anything. Our reservation was fully paid. Still, we had to wander around Cologne looking for a new hotel. On the phone they told us to go at 9 in the morning that there would be someone at the reception to help us. There was no one until one of the cleaners came out to tell us that we should go to another hotel from where they managed the reception. We went and they told us that since we arrived a little late they made a mistake and marked NO SHOW on our reservation and they have also reserved the room for someone else, so we have been left out, now having to pay for a new room in another hotel far from the center for our the rest stay. Our reservation has been paid for since April, but they also tell us that we must process the refund from Booking. I have never seen such bad customer service. This hotel is a rip off and a failure. You can not trust it.
Das Hotel ist abgewohnt, abgenutzt und hat seine besten Zeiten schon lange hinter sich. Im verwinkelten 6. OG, das man über unebene Treppen und unterschiedliche Bodenniveaus erreicht, hat man 2 „Zimmer“ eingerichtet, die kleinen, schäbigen Kämmerchen gleichen. Unglaublich, dass man so etwas heute noch angeboten bekommt. Die Teppichböden in den Fluren sind voller Flecken und völlig unansehnlich. Wenig einladend auch der altertümliche Empfangsbereich und alle übrigen Hotelbereiche. Wo die angebliche 3-Sterne-Bewertung ihre Berechtigung hat, hat sich uns leider nicht erschlossen. Ein lautes, grausiges Hotel, das man schnell verlassen und ebenso schnell wieder vergessen sollte.
Had a wonderful 3-night stay at this lovely property. Located just a stone’s throw away from Köln Messe/Deutz station, which was very convenient for us who travelled directly from Frankfurt Airport. Its surrounding was peaceful and quiet. Checking-in by Clemens was a breeze. Clemens was friendly and answered all our queries with patience. He also gave us helpful information on dining options in the vicinity. Our courtyard facing Studio room was spacious and quiet, had every amenity we needed for a comfortable stay. We used the washer and dryer every night and it was definitely a great to have. USB charging ports and power points could be found on both sides of the bed and at sitting area. Internet speed was fast. Was able to screen mirroring with my device and hence we were able to enjoy watching Netflix on the big TV screen. Daily housekeeping had also done a wonderful job of keeping our room clean, replacing our used towels and replenishing the laundry detergent. There was a small indoor pool but we didn’t have the time to use it. Our room didn’t come with breakfast, but we did try it out on one morning. Found that it was a tad overpriced at €22 as the spread wasn’t big and choices were pretty limited, the only disappointment we had of this property. Overall a fantastic stay and is value for money. Would strongly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Cologne.
I stayed here for 3 nights, It may not be in the centre but it has good transport links. From The airport, S19 to Cologne Messe, there are taxis outside the station if you don’t want to walk to the hotel. It had everything I needed, it was quiet, clean and had a good shower and very good wifi connection. Also had a very good air conditioning which was needed. The nearest supermarket is Lidl which is a 10minute walk and 15minute to the Cologne Messe station or you can take the tram/bus which is 350metres away which also takes you across the bridge. There is also a mini market in reception for cold drinks and snacks open 24hrs which was handy. I didn’t have breakfast here so I cant comment on that. I had a very enjoyable stay and I would stay here again.
Ich habe vom 28.02. auf den 01.03.23 in Zimmer 215 übernachtet. Der Checkin verlief schnell und freundlich. Leider erhielt ich die falsche Information bezüglich der Sauna- diese sollte bereits (15:30 Uhr) geöffnet sein. Als ich gegen kurz nach 17:00 Uhr in die Sauna wollte, heizte diese gerade erst auf. Das Zimmer war sauber und modern. Allerdings, bauartbedingt, sehr klein. Besonders das Badezimmer ist mini und bietet kaum Abstellflächen. Das WLAN ist recht stabil, stößt aber scheinbar Abends an seine Kapazitäten. Da dieses Zimmer zur Eingangsseite/ Straßenseite/ Parkplatzseite liegt, war es in den Morgenstunden recht laut - aber mit Ohropax konnte das Fenster geöffnet bleiben. An der Sauberkeit gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Leider fehltem dem TV viele TV Programme. Der Fitness-/ Saunabereich wirkt dagegen etwas lieblos und ist zudem nicht voneinander getrennt. Insgesamt ist der Bereich etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Abendessen war leider eine Katastrophe. Ich bestellte die knusprige Maispoulardenbrust auf Kirschtomatengemüse und Rösti. Erhalten habe ich eine trockene Poularde, ohne Knusperhaut und fettigen Reibekuchen. Ich habe nur etwas von der Poularde gegessen und den Teller zurückgehen lassen. Dies wurde vom Service zwar entschuldigt- mehr aber auch nicht. Beim bezahlen wurde der volle Preis von €17,50 berechnet. Auf Nachfrage, ob das ernst gemeint sei, erhielt ich nur JA als Antwort. Da ich, als Platin-Member bei Hotmiles, regelmäßig in H Hotels übernachte, kann ich sagen, dass die Küchenleistung in Brühl bisher am schlechtesten aller von mir besuchten H Hotels ist. Es gab nicht einmal die sonst üblichen Brottaler mit Dipps. Das Frühstück entsprach dem typischen H Hotels Standard und war gut. Schade nur, dass die Säfte aus Konzentrat und Wasser bestehen. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder auswählen, allerdings einen großen Bogen um das Abendessen und den unkulanten Service dort machen.
ゲゲストThe hotel emailed us at short notice to change where we were staying but then decided not to reply to any of our emails back to them. Because of this we arrived at the rearranged hotel completely confused about how long we were supposed to be staying there for. The hotel was particularly unwelcoming and it took them a while to work out that we were in fact staying there. The room was in a poor condition, with stains all over the curtains, the pillows were uncomfortable and lumpy and no extra pillows were provided (until we asked reception to provide more). There were two very small single duvets provided for the bed and the hotel was unable to provide a double duvet when asked. The hairdryer did not work and the hotel did not replace this despite us asking. The shower also did not drain so it filled up when it was used. Further to this considering it is December we needed the radiators on, however the radiators were extremely noisy and kept us awake all night. This hotel was further away from the landmarks that we had planned our trip around which incurred extra costs. The hotel has neglected to reply to any of our emails (before or after our trip), I would not book with them again.
