This is my fourth visit to the Qvest Hotel. It's a precious hotel that's more than interesting to me, and sometimes I visit Cologne to stay in it. The harmony of historic buildings and modern mid-centuries offers a special moment that can't be experienced anywhere. And the elegant place facing the church of St. Gereon allows for a real rest. This is the real Hydeway.

A nice hotel with pleasant staff. It's a bit out of the way but accessible as long as you are happy to research the public transport. Has a McDonalds next door so you would never starve! And there is a Lidl a short walk away. The sofa/camp beds could possibly benefit from being updated as sitting/sleeping on those wasn't particularly comfortable but the main beds were comfortable. Breakfast was continental and pleasant. We would stay at the hotel again.

メインファイアから徒歩10分、どこへでも行くのにとても便利です。階下にスーパーマーケットの地下鉄トラムがあり、商店街まで徒歩2分です。場所はこの価格と一致しています。とても良いと言えます👍 部屋はとても満足で、とても清潔で、使い捨てのスリッパも用意されています(ヨーロッパでは環境に優しいものではありません。スリッパをあまり期待しないでください) 近くにはたくさんのレストランがあり、ベトナムのフォーショップ(徒歩3分)もあります。階下でUberをプレイするのもとても便利です。強くお勧めすると言えます。

TLDR; Feels like a seedy hookup bar with a hotel above it. They’ve embellished the surface of the rooms enough to make it feel “modern” but it lacks any real comforts. My partner said it seems like it’s the perfect place for people who cheat on their spouses to go because it doesn’t matter if it’s comfortable or not, you’re probably only there for one night. - Self check in means employees don’t care or even try to pretend they care. When we walked in no one told us anything about where to go to get our room keys (no obvious signage either)- we noticed the bar was busy and saw some people with luggage in the area so we went there asked; waited till a self check in iPad was available. Automatic card printer printed out the room keys under the iPad but had to request a second one from the bartender. - Room was essentially a glorified closet space. Bed was terribly stiff and had no give, pillows were like hard sponge material shoved into a pillowcase, the shower drain consisted of a tile separated from the other tiles and when it was stepped on even the slightest bit it would collapse and nearly serrated my foot, the shower curtain left a 2 inch gap to the floor and the basin had no lip so the entire bathroom was sopping wet when you finished showering. - The “window” you could open consisted of a 5 inch floor to ceiling slit which you could open to allow in fresh air and the rest of the wall where a window could be was a heavy metal surface. Crawling in and out of bed from one side was fine, but from the other side you had to be a gymnast to get to bed successfully because of the cramped conditions. The fact that there was a USB port by the bedside phone shelf and a wireless charging station built into the other side was nice but… felt like a last ditch effort to try to upsell the rooms. I suppose if you’re a heavy drinker and you’re so drunk every night that you can’t rationalize these things by the time you head upstairs to bed, it’s not the worst place you could pick. But for two people on a European vacation they’ve been trying to plan for the last 5 years this was absolutely not the place we realized it was from the website/reviews.
