絶好のロケーション、文字通りエルフルト大聖堂まで徒歩2分。素晴らしい朝食、バラエティに富んだ、居心地の良い雰囲気、フレンドリーなスタッフ。 部屋自体は4-stars-hotelから期待するものではありません。そのようなホテルには適していない、絶対に不快で、寒く、古い家具。ひどく騒しい、基本的にあなたはあなたの隣人の音を聞くことができます、ひどい!古い騒しいエアコンは言うまでもありません!部屋にはコーヒーメーカーや少なくともやかんはありません!代わりに、レセプションに行って、自動販売機からコーヒーや飲み物を購入するように頼まれます。そして、皆さん、ティッシュパッケージを確認してください!ティッシュが数枚しか残っていない場合は、空になるまで待つのではなく、パッケージ全体を変更することをお勧めします...または間違っていますか? ! エルフトへの次の旅行では、間違いなく別のホテルを比較してみます。これは私から可能な限り最低のマークを得ます!

We stayed in this hotel on two separate nights bookending a trip to Frankfurt. This hotel is not - in our experience - typical of the Mercure brand. Far too often Mercure's are in good locations but somewhat rundown, tired and in need of attention. This is quite the opposite. It appears to have been wholly refurbished in the last five years, it is looked after. The hotel is conveniently situated near to both the old town and the main, new shopping area, both being no more than five minutes walk away. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the railway station or (for us) a €10 taxi ride. There is paid for car parking if required. This is a deceptively large hotel, the short frontage belies the fact that it has 141 rooms. The hotel stretches back from its frontage - we felt it was long and not very wide. It is spread over four floors and possibly an attic. We were on the fourth floor for our first visit and on the first floor for the second. Entry into the hotel from the street leads to a small reception area with ottoman seating. Screened from reception is a small bar and another soft seating area. The bar had elusive opening times - but seemed not to operate before 18:00 hours. Service was good. There is a restaurant that is not the breakfast room but that was not open during our stay with no sign of opening on the horizon. All public areas were clean, tidy and well maintained, albeit with a Alpine overtone! Access to the upper floors is via dedicated lifts or stairs depending upon the location of the room, with some rooms there is quite a walk to the lift. There is a small garden and paved area with seating. We saw no specific provision for disabled access but believe that the hotel is easy enough to negotiate. There is a separate breakfast room which works very well albeit it is not large. It is at the furthest end of the hotel from reception and bypasses some of the meeting rooms. Whilst these rooms were used during our stays we experienced no difficulties. We took breakfast early and the restaurant was never full or cramped. Breakfast is generous but prettty standard continental fare. Our first room (413) was a standard room and disappointing although it was clean and well cared for. Our second room however (136) was an upgrade and provided exceptional space and comfort for a reasonable price. Had we been able to satisfactorily understand the room descriptions and attributes on the website a room such as 136 would have been our preference. It had a large and comfortable double bed, a small seating area with table, a separate desk along with the usual accessories of a safe, TV, wifi etc. We didn't try the TV but everything else worked. There is no aircon but there is very effective radiator heating. We can imagine that opening the windows for some rooms would produce a great deal of street noise, but both our rooms were towards the rear of the hotel and quiet. Staff were very pleasant but there was very little English spoken. As in many hotels we stayed in Germany, there was only one black tea bag in a double room meant for two people! Very strange. One thing to note for all guests is regards to the safe. I could not work out how to key-in my own personal code number to lock/unlock the safe, so I went to reception and they gave me a slip of paper with a four digit code on it. I said that I wanted to enter my own (secret) number and was told that this could not be done! I argued that it should be possible to key in my own code but they said that I could not. I was not happy but had to accept it. Later I remembered a safe in another hotel where you could change the code by pressing a reset button on the inside edge of the door toward the hinge. I tried this and it worked. When I Checked out I left them with a written instruction in German (using an online translator) on how to change the code.

Ein sehr ruhiges und sauberes Hotel in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir haben mit Freunden ein Wochenende in Erfurt verbracht und können das Hotel nur empfehlen. Unsere Freunde haben ein Kind, haben daher eine Suite mit Aufbettung genommen, wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer, beides im 3. Stock. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze, bis zum Bahnhof läuft man ca. 15 Minuten, man kann aber auch 2 Stationen mit dem Bus fahren. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist super mit allem was man sich zum Frühstück wünscht, es gibt sogar Sekt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
