Excellent Christmas meal and superb service. The unobstructed sea view from our room has to be the best EVER. Friendly hard-working staff, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable room and bed, clean. Lots of choice at breakfast. Highly recommended.

From the moment you enter The Cottage Hotel you are made to feel like a special guest. All the staff looked after us so well and always with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved the old part of the hotel with its history and interesting features. The new part has been done to such a high standard with quality interior design and light and airy rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in a premier sea view room and it really was stunning and what a view to wake up to. We left feeling so relaxed and can’t wait to visit again soon. Well done Neil and team.

This hotel deserves 5 stars. The customer service, location, food is second to none. The views simply stunning. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the team. So relaxing. Our room was premier room and well worth the extra. Other rooms classic but with same stunning sea views. The character and history of this beautiful place shines out inside. The food just wonderful!

This wonderful hotel deserves 5 stars in our opinion! The service food location and our room the best we have stayed at. From management to cleaners there is nothing that compares. Beautiful sea views. Upgrade to premier so worth the extra.

Amazing location, delicious food, fabulous service and welcoming staff. We’ve been staying at this hotel for years and always have an excellent welcome, it’s home from home. Very good value for money as the food choice and quality is exceptional. Thank you to the whole team for an amazing stay. We’d highly recommend this hotel, amazing views of the sea even if the weather is rough. We’ve travelled the world but so much prefer our nights at the Cottage Hotel always a 5* service 🥰

WHAT a find!! Absolutely charming hotel - a little dated, which gave it so much charm - though we only visited for lunch and some drinks. Very warmly greeted by the equally charming and very funny Neil, who didn't just make us feel welcome but actually made us feel special. The food was good and very reasonably priced, the view simply fantastic - in short, we were blown away by the experience. Looking forward to returning. Thank you Neil for looking after us so well and William, for your crafty photographic skills and happy banter.

5 mins walk up the hill and around 45 years back in time ... But in a lovely nostalgic way! The 5 course table d'hote menu was delicious and reflected a different era of hospitality. Even the menu choices were classic dishes. The ambience of the cruise ship style dining room felt smart and comfortable with lighting designed for you to see the food and your fellow diners! The new manager was perhaps a little too full of bonhomie but even that brought back memories of the 1970s. Great location and good value

The Cottage Hotel is located in a spectacular position. Our overnight stay was very enjoyable, the staff were very welcoming and the rooms clean and comfortable. The evening meal was delicious with plenty of choice and the breakfast was also of a very high standard.
