Very friendly and great hospitality by the owners. They are friendly and helpful and gave us a food and attraction strategy guide which was very useful as our purpose in Hengdian was to visit the major filming studios. The estate was located deep in a neighbourhood area and we have a small problem locating the front entrance desk. Currently they are still doing upgrading to the estate with gardens and swimming pool (refer to photo). I'm sure it will look amazing once completed. The estate was built in 2023 from the ground up and was designed by the same designer who did the Qin Palace. No wonder this homestay has this ancient building look. The room was pretty nice but I find the bed to be too stiff. I'm used to a soft and cushy kind of bed back home and couldn't sleep well for the 3 nights we are there. My family members have no such problem though. Homemade breakfast was provided everyday by 1 of the cleaner cum cook lady. She was super friendly and the food are fantastic and healthy. This is definitely worth a look if you are looking for accomodation in Hengdian and want to experience a more localised feel compared to a standard hotel stay.
Here’s a polished, natural, upbeat review including everything you mentioned:
I had an absolutely wonderful one-week stay at this lovely hotel/apartment in Hengdian! The room was beautifully decorated in a charming retro Chinese style, and the pool at the entrance was such a nice touch. The staff were incredibly attentive and thoughtful, the breakfast was wonderful, and all my small extra wishes were happily fulfilled. I also really enjoyed the nice tea and the delightful hanfu experience — it made the trip even more memorable. I’m extremely happy with my stay and will definitely be returning next year!
