Excellent service and pleasant accommodation. Beautiful garden and tranquility I admired most. I will definitely do it again.

Everything was top notch. The service, food, the rooms and my best part was their award winning spa, the ambiance is so serene and relaxing not to forget the amazing massage.

It was love at first sight. I fell in love with the garden, the pool, the spa and the picnic was to die for😍

Upon entering the hotel, we were immediately captivated by its charm and beauty, and we looked forward to a wonderful stay with our children. The staff were lovely and accommodating, which made us increasingly optimistic about our visit. However, our experience took a turn for the worse when, after a long day of travel, we left our room with the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door or what we thought was the do not disturb sign, one sign was blank and one was please make up room, we put the blank sign, we found out later that there was supposed to be two different tags but we were not give the second one. Housekeeping entered our room for turn-down service and stole from us. Given the reputation of a hotel of this caliber, I did not expect this, and it left us feeling unsafe and violated. It was a horrible experience, and I hesitated to share it because I understand that mistakes can happen. However, when I checked out, management was apologetic but did not offer any solutions to rectify the situation. Over a month later, I received a letter informing me that they had conducted an investigation. One staff member passed a polygraph test, while another exhibited signs of possible deception. It's baffling that a hotel could have such mixed results and yet fail to make the situation right. While I acknowledge that things can happen, the careless attitude displayed by the hotel staff was truly disappointing. As beautiful and enchanting as the hotel is in its decor, I cannot recommend this property due to our experience.

This hotel was amazing. I usually pick my own lodgings after creating an itinerary and doing a lot of research. I was only going to be visiting Johannesburg for 2 nights, so I didn’t research the are much and let my travel agent pick this hotel. Wow. Thank you to her! This hotel is beautiful. Very impressive grounds, architecture, restaurant, and their staff was incredible! From the food servers, to the front desk staff, and the groundskeepers and housekeepers, they were all friendly and kind. The room was great, it had everything we needed, from plush robes and comfy slippers, to the usual appreciated amenities - hair dryer, iron, safe, refrigerator, coffee maker, glassware, coffee supplies, etc. we had a great stay and enjoyed two dinners and two breakfasts in their great restaurant. The decor in every aspect of this hotel was impressive! African fare and decor around every corner. Beautifully presented to whoever is lucky enough stay here! Thank you for a couple of wonderful days!

Gorgeous hotel in lush gardens, offering a quiet retreat for a visit to Johannesburg's northern suburbs. Our stay at Fairlawns was brief so did not have a chance to enjoy the restaurant facilities, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel in general, warm and welcoming, making it feel like home.
