Staff was completely rude hotel was disgusting had horrible experience at this hotel

Bed and bath ok. Cockroach crawling on wall in room. No coffee and no effort to fix anything. What has happened to a nice clean room and descent breakfast, I run a business and I would have comped the room and took care of issue immediately. mark the room as not rentable until issues resolved.

Great Service , Great Management , Comfortable Beds, Cable and WiFi, Friendly Environment, Great Places To eat around the surrounding area , Wonderful Breakfast nice pool area, great rooms, just absolutely amazing place to stay in Mattoon

The shower was a little weak in flow. I would also suggest a room on the back side of the building. There's about six feet between the parking lot and the outside walls of the hotel. This means that if someone backs into a parking stall and the air conditioner or fan is running in your room, you are likely to get a dose of car exhaust ****** in. I learned this one morning when a diesel truck was idling outside my room.

Nice fresh room. Only problem was being given neighboring room first. Going in finding lights on, bed not made, coke can open on table was disconcerting. Felt like I’d walked in on someone. Nearly immediately obvious they had checked out but room was not cleaned.

Over all this hotel did a great job, 1st time I've had room service with asking for it since 2019. The hotel has be remodeled recently. The room was clean and odor free, shower was decent, bed slept well, plenty of pillows. The Wi-Fi was slow but worked. I did not do the breakfast as I had to be at work at 3am.

Management accused me of smoking in room. I am not a smoker. She gave me 3 min to get out. I was flabbergasted and got my things and left. I won’t ever stay there again. The management was so rude…. Especially to other staff.

Convenient off the road location. No elevator for upper level. Fine for a one night stay, too pricey for the deliverables. Can hear next room snoring. Heat works great, keeps at temperature selected. Breakfast in the baggies needs improvement.

We stayed at this place for at least 6 years in a row however very disappointed this year. we called ahead to make a reservation directly to the hotel and needed a dog friendly room. However, after 10 hours of driving we found out the lady who made the reservation didn't order me a dog friendly room as I requested twice!!! To top if off its 6;30 and there are no rooms available for us!!!! Nothing at all!!! she said, you can try across the street or down the road 39 miles is another super 8! I asked if she could possibly call there as it was getting late, but she said no, she couldn't help us at all. I can't believe it, no help whatsoever!!! Thank goodness I found another super 8 in Effingham who didn't have rooms but called and found us a place.
