ゲゲストStaying at Jiuhuli·Siheyuan Guesthouse (Ancient City Drum Tower Branch) 玖合里·四合院民宿（大同古城华严寺店） was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The location is absolutely unique — being inside the ancient city walls of Datong and staying in a traditional Chinese courtyard house made the entire experience feel authentic and unforgettable. It is much more than just a hotel; it is a cultural experience.
The decoration and design are impeccable: elegant, refined, and beautifully done with incredible attention to detail. The rooms are extremely comfortable, with high-quality products, premium facilities, and a very peaceful atmosphere that made us feel at home immediately.
What made our stay even more exceptional was the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond in every possible way. They helped us arrange an excellent private driver at a very reasonable price, which allowed us to enjoy a perfectly smooth and efficient day visiting three major attractions outside the city: the Hanging Temple, the Yungang Grottoes, and the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. Everything was organized flawlessly, making the trip completely stress-free and enjoyable.
Overall, the service was simply amazing from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Datong who wants not only comfort and beauty, but also a genuine and memorable local experience.
入住玖合里·四合院民宿（大同古城华严寺店）是我们这次旅行中最难忘的体验之一。民宿位于大同古城城墙内，住在传统四合院里，让人真正感受到浓厚的历史文化氛围。这不仅仅是一家酒店，更是一种非常地道、特别的文化体验。
整个民宿的装修与设计都无可挑剔，审美非常高级，细节精致优雅，处处体现用心。房间非常舒适，配备的用品和设施品质都很高，环境安静温馨，让人一入住就有宾至如归的感觉。
最值得特别称赞的是这里卓越而贴心的服务。工作人员非常热情专业，真正做到了超出期待。他们还帮我们安排了一位性价比非常高的司机，让我们能够非常顺利、轻松地在一天之内游览大同周边三大景点：悬空寺、云冈石窟和应县木塔。整个行程安排得非常顺畅，让我们完全没有压力，玩得特别开心。
总体来说，这里的服务真的令人惊艳。从住宿环境到服务体验，一切都非常完美。强烈推荐给所有来大同旅行、希望体验传统文化与高品质住宿的游客！

ゲゲストI can’t stop raving about this inn. It is a B&B style three stories tall inn located inside the Datong Ancient City. Complimentary shuttle service between the airport or railway station made it really convenient for out of town travelers. The guest room was clean and equipped with modern facilities like automatic toilets, coded entry, projection screens, etc. The inn is located near the north gate of the city amongst other accommodations. Within minutes of walking is access to the top of the city wall where bike rental is available to ride along the wall. The inn is very quiet at night. The inn is family operated and everyone was very hospitable. What sets this inn apart from other accommodations in the area is their dedication to service. The owner knew I was a tourist and new to the area, she offered to pick me up if I got lost wandering the ancient city. The breakfast came with my reservation. When the owner found out I had to depart before breakfast serving hours, she went above and beyond to prepare food and served me 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The food tasted amazing and came with abundant varieties and huge portions. It was definitely not part of the service to drop off at another venue, but the owner took me to my next accommodation 2km away. I truly appreciate everything this inn and its staff has done for me. I am so glad to have chosen to stay this beautiful little inn on my first night in Datong. I will definitely stay here again without a doubt on my next visit.

ゲゲスト宿の向かいには華厳寺があり、夜も騒がしくなくとても静かです。
部屋は小さいですが、清潔で整頓されており、適度なレイアウトがあり（背の高い人にとってはバスルームが少し混んでいるかもしれません）、寝具は快適で、残念ながら部屋の写真を撮るのを忘れました。共有エリアは2階の小さな庭で、花、鳥、昆虫、魚、リスなどの生き物がいっぱいです。私たちはクジャクが見たかったので、親切な上司が特別にクジャクを外に出して遊ばせてくれました。上司とその奥さんはとても親切で、チェックインする前に電話をくれて、ホテルに忘れ物をしたので、わざわざ電話で確認してくれて、郵送代も払ってくれました。これにより、大同の人々に対する私の良い印象がさらに深まりました。
機会があればまた来ます（笑）

ゲゲストリラックスしたスローライフ旅行✈️部屋は広としていて暖かいです。フロントの若い女性は暖かく、活気があり、美しく、気配りのある小さな妖精🧚♀️です。夕食を食べてテイクアウトを注文するのもとても便利です。弟の思いやりのあるサービスは包括的です。次回の旅行を楽しみにしています。洗濯と乾燥はとても便利です。王府の真向かいです。南門からずっと遊んでください。寝るのはとても便利です。

ゲゲスト全体的に雰囲気がとても良く、古風な趣が漂っています。お部屋もとても清潔で、女性スタッフもとても親切で、荷物の運搬を手伝ってくれました。チェックアウト時にはお土産もいただきました。何より立地が最高です。古都の中心部に位置し、あらゆるものがすぐ近くにあります。裏手には軽食街もあります。とても満足のいく旅でした。機会があればまた利用したいと思います。

初日は問題なく、全体的には良かったです。親切で頼りになる女性の受付係のおかげです。（その後、男性の受付係に交代しましたが、その男性の対応は最悪でした。）

大雨なので、駐車した場所まで迎えに来てもらえるかと尋ねました。すると、駐車スペースがないので別の場所に停める必要があると言われ、私たちの車は地下駐車場に着けませんでした。担当者は申し訳ないが、駐車場に停まっているのを見たと言いました。アルファロメオはありませんでした。もしアルファロメオを目当てに来たのなら、諦めてください。少なくとも私は見ませんでした。 （こういう行為は本当に気持ち悪い。別に構わないのよ、ごまかさないで。どんな車でも、送迎車でもね。）
もちろん、初日は駐車した場所から100メートルくらい離れたところまで、女性が運転してくれました。
さて、食事の話です。朝食は1回しか出ず、内容もほとんど同じでした。黒糖蒸しパンを注文したのですが、出ませんでした。「黒糖蒸しパンはもう1つありますか？」と聞いたら、女性は「ない」と言いました。男性は「もう1つ注文した」と言い、蒸し器を取り出して、私の子供の腕に直撃させました！「ない」と思ったら、監視カメラの映像で自分で確認すればいいのに！思わず熱いと思い、蒸し器に触ってしまいました。幸い、冷たかったです（笑）。黒糖パンも冷たかったです。冷たすぎて食べられないと言って持ち帰りました。すると、食器を回収していた女性が「電子レンジで温めましょう」と言いました。彼女はそれを受け取って出て行きました。男の人は物を投げつけ続けました。
自分の体験を投稿したくなかったのですが、彼は私に良いレビューを書いてほしいと言っていました。
ところで、チェックアウトした時はまだ大雨でした。車まで案内してほしいと頼みましたが、また拒否されました。車はそこにないと言われました。そして、私が出発しようとした時、彼らの車が道路脇に停まっていました。さらにおかしかったのは、彼らは最初、地下室に入れないので案内できないと言いました。私は荷物だけ運ぶから大丈夫だと言いましたが、彼らは車に乗ることができました。全くひどい対応でした。誰かから連絡があったら文句を言います。これが私の正直な感想です。
（その女性はいい人でした。友達同士なら、ずっと同じ女性でいても大丈夫なのですが、いつもそこにいるわけではありませんでした。）

ゲゲスト小さな旅館はとても良いです。古都の最も栄えたエリアの東側にあり、喧騒の中に静かです。小さな中庭には昔の面影が残っており、照明は温かみがあります。部屋は設備が整っており、広く、快適で、アンティークで、特に床暖房、ラジエーター、エアコンの三重断熱が施されており、氷点下の外の寒さに完全に耐えることができます。サービススタッフの対応も温かく、ウェルカムスナックも絶品で美味しく、どんなに遅く帰っても、どんなに早く出かけても、おばちゃんがドアを開け閉めしてくれます。とても気持ちいいです！

ゲゲスト民宿位於古城北門附近，很好找。第一天剛到的時候，前台妹妹親自去接，讓我們感受到了温暖和熱情。妹妹引領我們到了民宿還給了我們手寫的地圖，附近好吃好玩的寫的很詳細，還提前問我們第二天大概幾點吃早飯，給我們備餐，真是很周到。備餐的姐姐手藝也超好，手擀麪我念念不忘，真是比外面的老柴好吃多了。由於鳳臨閣，龍聚祥都太難搶了，妹妹還告訴我龍聚祥有外賣，我們點了在餐廳吃到了，也是沒有遺憾了。

MMethilanI spent nearly a week at Datong Milan/Magnolia Hotel (Dai Residence branch) and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay
Location:
- Nestled a quieter part of the ancient city, that provided a peaceful retreat after each day of exploring.
- 10 minutes to some of the attractions of the old town
- 15-20 minute walk to the popular restaurants and more attractions
- 30 minute walk to Huayan Temple and its nearby street markets.
I'm always happy to walk but if needed, I could always use DiDi to take me around.
Falling asleep without street noise is something I like. There is a bit of building work going nearby, which is happening all over Datong Ancient City, but nothing too major.
Nearby is the Ancient City's wall, but walk past that and you can see the locals dance in the morning in the park or walk along the canal/moat in the evening.
Room:
The room was surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax, a welcome change from cramped city accommodations. The staircase is a bit narrow, so those with lots of big luggage might struggle (no lift)
Importantly, it was very clean and well equipped. I especially liked the Chinese tea ceremony set!
Service:
- Despite a noticeable language barrier, everyone went above and beyond with smiles, helpful gestures, and clear efforts to communicate.
- Especially the manager, who told me about local food to try, things to do and asked if I needed anything. She noticed that I was bringing back leftovers from the restaurant, and bottled drinks from the shops, and said I could use the fridge.
- I can't speak Chinese so when the delivery driver came to drop off my order, the staff will take it from the reception and bring it to me.
- Unfortunately, breakfast isn't available here
- Drinking water topped up. Humidifier and mosquito repellent were provided when needed.
I will not hesitate to book here again on my next visit and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking comfort and genuine warmth in Datong!

ゲゲストThe hotel is in a commercial building where many tenants have moved out. It feels deserted. Except for its neighbour Han Ting hotel and the minimart beside, there does not seem to have any activity.
The staff are friendly enough. There is no public toilet for the hotel guests. Guests could only use the toilets in their hotel rooms or use the public toilet on the first floor which is disgustingly dirty. It is a hassle for guests whose flight or train is in the evening after checking out in the daytime. I had to use another hotel's toilet in the evening.
The hotel room's shower curtains have frayed at the edge, are a little mouldy and need to be replaced. I suspect that as it is a budget hotel, the management don't care. But the room and its toilet are clean.
On food, the hotel is small so they work with an eatery outside to provide breakfast if you have breakfast included in your stay. The breakfast options are limited so it is better to go out and buy breakfast. To my surprise, there are no breakfast eateries nearby! One has to walk until the cross junction where one sees the Datong Railway Station before there are some eateries. Or, one can walk in the direction towards the Datong Ancient City and along the way, there are some restaurants and eateries. EatWheat 东方削面 is authentic in its local flavour.
The hotel location is near the Datong Ancient City. If you are up for a bit of walk, it is possible to walk there.
If there is an emergency, please go to 三医院 The Third Hospital which is the nearest public hospital with all facilities available. The rest of the hospitals nearby may not be fully equipped.
