This is a new place that just opened in Nov 2025. The boss is very welcoming and extremely helpful. He recommended good restaurants for us to try and as foodies, this is pretty important. They also washed and folded our clothes for us, and I have 2 pretty big bags of clothes to wash. The hotel is located in the old town and you can walk to a night food street close by. We stayed in the smallest room, but it has everything you need. Will come back again as this city is an amazing historical city. Winter is not crowded at all, so you can consider visiting in winter.

Excellent stay at Jili XING Homestay! Everything feels very new and modern, providing a great atmosphere for our visit to Datong. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout – we felt very welcome. Highly recommended!

2泊3日で、最悪の体験でした。 初日は問題なく、全体的には良かったです。親切で頼りになる女性の受付係のおかげです。（その後、男性の受付係に交代しましたが、その男性の対応は最悪でした。） まずはサービスについてお話しましょう。 到着前：[テキストは突然話題を変えます。] 到着前：[テキストは突然話題を変えます。] 到着後：[テキストは突然話題を変えます。] 大雨なので、駐車した場所まで迎えに来てもらえるかと尋ねました。すると、駐車スペースがないので別の場所に停める必要があると言われ、私たちの車は地下駐車場に着けませんでした。担当者は申し訳ないが、駐車場に停まっているのを見たと言いました。アルファロメオはありませんでした。もしアルファロメオを目当てに来たのなら、諦めてください。少なくとも私は見ませんでした。 （こういう行為は本当に気持ち悪い。別に構わないのよ、ごまかさないで。どんな車でも、送迎車でもね。） もちろん、初日は駐車した場所から100メートルくらい離れたところまで、女性が運転してくれました。 さて、食事の話です。朝食は1回しか出ず、内容もほとんど同じでした。黒糖蒸しパンを注文したのですが、出ませんでした。「黒糖蒸しパンはもう1つありますか？」と聞いたら、女性は「ない」と言いました。男性は「もう1つ注文した」と言い、蒸し器を取り出して、私の子供の腕に直撃させました！「ない」と思ったら、監視カメラの映像で自分で確認すればいいのに！思わず熱いと思い、蒸し器に触ってしまいました。幸い、冷たかったです（笑）。黒糖パンも冷たかったです。冷たすぎて食べられないと言って持ち帰りました。すると、食器を回収していた女性が「電子レンジで温めましょう」と言いました。彼女はそれを受け取って出て行きました。男の人は物を投げつけ続けました。 自分の体験を投稿したくなかったのですが、彼は私に良いレビューを書いてほしいと言っていました。 ところで、チェックアウトした時はまだ大雨でした。車まで案内してほしいと頼みましたが、また拒否されました。車はそこにないと言われました。そして、私が出発しようとした時、彼らの車が道路脇に停まっていました。さらにおかしかったのは、彼らは最初、地下室に入れないので案内できないと言いました。私は荷物だけ運ぶから大丈夫だと言いましたが、彼らは車に乗ることができました。全くひどい対応でした。誰かから連絡があったら文句を言います。これが私の正直な感想です。 （その女性はいい人でした。友達同士なら、ずっと同じ女性でいても大丈夫なのですが、いつもそこにいるわけではありませんでした。）

環境はとても良く、静かで清潔です。すぐ外にジムがあり、運動を楽しみたい方に最適です。ホテルのスタッフはとても親切で、サービスも素晴らしいです。上記は娘のレビューですが、娘もとても気に入っていました。以下は私のレビューです。1. 立地が素晴らしいです。ホテルは実際に古都の中にあり、観光スポットやレストランまで数百メートル以内、徒歩圏内であれば数百メートル、長くても1,000メートル強です。2. 設備は素晴らしく、内装もとても素敵で高級感があります。3. サービスは素晴らしいです。スタッフはとても親切です。さらに、チェックイン後には専属のバトラーサービスがあるので、何か必要なことや質問があればいつでも連絡できます。

全体的に雰囲気がとても良く、古風な趣が漂っています。お部屋もとても清潔で、女性スタッフもとても親切で、荷物の運搬を手伝ってくれました。チェックアウト時にはお土産もいただきました。何より立地が最高です。古都の中心部に位置し、あらゆるものがすぐ近くにあります。裏手には軽食街もあります。とても満足のいく旅でした。機会があればまた利用したいと思います。

小さな旅館はとても良いです。古都の最も栄えたエリアの東側にあり、喧騒の中に静かです。小さな中庭には昔の面影が残っており、照明は温かみがあります。部屋は設備が整っており、広く、快適で、アンティークで、特に床暖房、ラジエーター、エアコンの三重断熱が施されており、氷点下の外の寒さに完全に耐えることができます。サービススタッフの対応も温かく、ウェルカムスナックも絶品で美味しく、どんなに遅く帰っても、どんなに早く出かけても、おばちゃんがドアを開け閉めしてくれます。とても気持ちいいです！

We took a 23-day trip through China, staying in 9 different hotels. Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Floral stood out in many ways. First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. I spent nearly a week at Datong Milan/Magnolia Hotel (Dai Residence branch) and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay Location: - Nestled a quieter part of the ancient city, that provided a peaceful retreat after each day of exploring. - 10 minutes to some of the attractions of the old town - 15-20 minute walk to the popular restaurants and more attractions - 30 minute walk to Huayan Temple and its nearby street markets. I'm always happy to walk but if needed, I could always use DiDi to take me around. Falling asleep without street noise is something I like. There is a bit of building work going nearby, which is happening all over Datong Ancient City, but nothing too major. Nearby is the Ancient City's wall, but walk past that and you can see the locals dance in the morning in the park or walk along the canal/moat in the evening. Room: The room was surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax, a welcome change from cramped city accommodations. The staircase is a bit narrow, so those with lots of big luggage might struggle (no lift) Importantly, it was very clean and well equipped. I especially liked the Chinese tea ceremony set! Service: - Despite a noticeable language barrier, everyone went above and beyond with smiles, helpful gestures, and clear efforts to communicate. - Especially the manager, who told me about local food to try, things to do and asked if I needed anything. She noticed that I was bringing back leftovers from the restaurant, and bottled drinks from the shops, and said I could use the fridge. - I can't speak Chinese so when the delivery driver came to drop off my order, the staff will take it from the reception and bring it to me. - Unfortunately, breakfast isn't available here - Drinking water topped up. Humidifier and mosquito repellent were provided when needed. I will not hesitate to book here again on my next visit and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking comfort and genuine warmth in Datong!

The hotel is in a commercial building where many tenants have moved out. It feels deserted. Except for its neighbour Han Ting hotel and the minimart beside, there does not seem to have any activity. The staff are friendly enough. There is no public toilet for the hotel guests. Guests could only use the toilets in their hotel rooms or use the public toilet on the first floor which is disgustingly dirty. It is a hassle for guests whose flight or train is in the evening after checking out in the daytime. I had to use another hotel's toilet in the evening. The hotel room's shower curtains have frayed at the edge, are a little mouldy and need to be replaced. I suspect that as it is a budget hotel, the management don't care. But the room and its toilet are clean. On food, the hotel is small so they work with an eatery outside to provide breakfast if you have breakfast included in your stay. The breakfast options are limited so it is better to go out and buy breakfast. To my surprise, there are no breakfast eateries nearby! One has to walk until the cross junction where one sees the Datong Railway Station before there are some eateries. Or, one can walk in the direction towards the Datong Ancient City and along the way, there are some restaurants and eateries. EatWheat 东方削面 is authentic in its local flavour. The hotel location is near the Datong Ancient City. If you are up for a bit of walk, it is possible to walk there. If there is an emergency, please go to 三医院 The Third Hospital which is the nearest public hospital with all facilities available. The rest of the hospitals nearby may not be fully equipped.

看了很多家酒店，都説屋裡有當地的黑蟲子，本人極怕蟲子，就他家沒有反映有蟲子，而且離古城還很近，有大大的窗户，我們比較喜歡走路，走到東門大概20多分鐘吧，溜溜達達挺好的。 前台認真負責，晚上發現點小問題，還及時過來房間解決，辛苦了。
