ゲゲストI usually never leave a review, but I wanted to share that the people whom work here are very kind! I arrived in the middle of the night and they suggested to pick me up from the trainstation.
Upon arrival I received several free items (toothbrush, flipflops, sleeping mask etc). There are clean towels that you can use, soap/shampoo is also present. The room was very clean and the public area is very big. I was travelling alone but I saw that there were many games and options to watch tv etc.
When asking for help for which bus to take, they offered to being me to the nearest busstation by car.
Overall, a very good experience.

ゲゲストGreat place to feel at home in a very nice area of the old city. Big and pretty room, comfortable and cozy. And last, for me, the very best at this place is the welcoming and very helpful staff. I have been here already 2 times and I will come back for sure when more friends come to China and want to visit the amazing caves and the great atmosphere of the old town. I absolutely recommend this hotel. 🙂🙂👍👍👏👏

JJames56We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good.
Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around.
What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge!
If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

ゲゲストWe went to Datong for the Qingming festival and decided to stay here. It was quite nice as we were well located and the hotel is done in a modern and clean style. Our room was on the fifth floor. I saw some comments about noise levels and how the walls were thin but we had no issue in the matter and the hotel was fully booked out so we would’ve noticed it very easily if it was noisy. The only area that you would hear anything is from the hallway but that’s normal in most hotels. The only thing that wasn’t the best was the shower. The big shower head was cracked so the water would spray in different directions. But the room was spacious and clean I would still recommend it to anyone, and especially datong, it’s a great city and the people there are so kind.

黄黄善博The hotel was the priciest that we stayed at during our 45 days in China, though the beds, space, and bathroom were the nicest out of them all. For the price, I would’ve hoped that the staff would’ve been a bit more helpful—no elevator and many bags to carry up the three flights of stairs was really quite difficult. The staff also don’t speak any English at all, and my friend doesn’t speak any Chinese, and we didn’t really understand that you needed to put down a deposit of 100rmb that would then be refunded to you (or that they needed a Chinese phone number too; I didn’t have one, and as a foreigner traveling through China, if I had been by myself or didn’t know or have any Chinese friends with Chinese numbers, I would’ve been unable to check-in).
The hotel was very nice nonetheless. Fantastic location, very close to everything. The walk to the old city wall took about an hour, and would’ve been a ten minute taxi ride. The street the hotel is located on is full of lots of local shops and restaurants, and feels very lively during the day. The staff was also very friendly and enjoyed speaking with the foreigner at the hotel (although I had some trouble understanding the Shanxi accent! Jin Chinese is not my strongest!).
The WiFi was a bit slow. But the beds were incredible. Huge, clean, soft. Pillows were lovely. Bathroom was huge. Just wish there’d been a bit more service from the front desk. Was a tad weird to get up at 5:50am to go to the Hanging Temple 悬空寺, which is very normal, to see the woman at the front desk asleep… it was fine, but still a bit weird.

ゲゲストExcellent hostel. Comfy capsules, hot showers, washing machine (costs to use but I'm not sure how much), excellent value. Easy to get to from train stations as long as you use a bus (use baidu maps 百度地图 to find routes and I swapped a stack of 1 yuan notes to pay for the buses as the Alipay bus card doesnt work for foreigners in Datong). The location is difficult to find but if you get to the rough location then locals are very happy to point you the right direction. You then text the owner who remotely let's you in.

LLouise WayRoom are humid but luckily the front desk willing to change room, since room have the musky smell. Location are near to train station but still u need taxi. Beside of taxi u can't go anywhere. And even no convenient store around the hotel. U need to buy whatever u need before coming back to hotel

また、4人部屋を3人で予約したのですが、チェックイン時にルームカードは1枚しか渡されませんでした。
フロントデスクには常に誰かがいるわけではありません。何か必要な場合は、電話するか庭で大声で言う必要があります。
設備：設備は充実しています。張家口と同じ標高の大同地区にあるこの家には暖房がなく、暖房はセントラル空調と独立空調に頼っていますが、ここは北です！南側で暖房とエアコンをオンにすると、非常に乾燥していました。大同は言うまでもありません。一晩中エアコンをつけていたのですが、とても乾燥していて眠れませんでした。エアコンをつけないとダメですね、本当に寒いです！ 3月ですが、外はまだ氷点下10度以上です。その他の施設。デュプレックスと言われていますが、実際には2階が屋根裏部屋の半分で、夜は床寝台のようにマットの上で寝ています。重要なのは、屋根裏部屋には電気ソケットが 1 つしかないこと、小さなキャビネットやベッドサイド テーブル、さらには小さな屋根裏部屋用の独立した照明さえないことです。 😭まさに、寮の「二段ベッド上段」を拡大したような、床で寝る以外に何の利便性もない屋根裏部屋です。
このお部屋にはウォークインクローゼットが付いており、嬉しいですね。お風呂のお湯は比較的熱く、シャワー床の排水はすぐに流れ、トイレを流す音もかなり良いです。
衛生面：衛生面は大丈夫です。 バスタオルは2枚しかありません。 床マットはありません。
環境: ロケーションは素晴らしく、徒歩圏内にいくつかの周辺観光スポットがあります。
