We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a party nearby. The corridors reeked of cigarette smoke day and night despite it being a non-smoking hotel. Our room wasn’t serviced on the second day and apparently we should have placed a notice on our room door asking for room staff to clean the room. There was no door hanger in the room and this isn’t mentioned anywhere in the room. On the first night we booked a table in the Beefeater next door for our party and some friends who live nearby. We wed busy talking after we had finished our meals and were pestered 3 times by restaurant staff to pay the bill, it was clear that they wanted us out! We went to the bar to order some drinks but were told they were shut. It was 10.15pm! We were talking in the bar area for a few more minutes when we could hear cat calls from staff in the back of the bar area urging us to leave. So rude! The place was closed up and staff drove off by 10.45pm even though their opening times state they’re open till 11pm. I certainly wouldn’t opt to stay in this particular PI again anytime soon.
