This new hotel features a private parking lot and is designed with a minimalist, stylish aesthetic that creates a vibrant atmosphere from the moment you enter.
I checked in on a Friday evening and enjoyed a three-course dinner at the hotel restaurant, paired with excellent local wine. The open kitchen was spacious and impeccably clean, and all the staff members were exceptionally friendly and energetic.
As my first accommodation in Bulgaria, this hotel truly represented the country's ability to leave a wonderful impression on visitors. After dinner, I visited the rooftop bar, which had a fantastic vibe with a live DJ and reasonably priced drinks—keeping the energetic mood going late into the night.
ゲゲストThe attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional, rude and unacceptable.
For one hour, the whole hotel didn’t know how to charge my credit card, as their credit card machine doesn’t follow EU rules for 3D security, thus jeopardising clients’ private data. I wasted a full hour on the phone with my bank, only to find out that the hotel doesn’t follow rules on how to securely handle credit card data. The management kept telling me that it’s my fault, despite the fact I never before have had problems with card payments before.
Breakfast food was decent, with a choice between a couple of set menus.
The hotel was clean, rooms were quiet, and it was situated and in a convenient location, within 3-4 minutes from the nearest metro station.
Some of the photos on their site are dated, as the interior is different now.
NNoi ChaOur stay at Hotel Budapest in Sofia was enjoyable and convenient. The hotel’s location is excellent—easily accessible and close to many key attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the city.
The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with a variety of well-prepared dishes that satisfied our expectations. However, the dinner service during New Year’s Eve was noticeably slower, likely due to the large number of guests celebrating the occasion. While the wait was understandable given the holiday rush, a bit more efficiency would have improved the experience.
Overall, Hotel Budapest offers great food, a prime location, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little attention to service during peak times, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Sofia!
ゲゲストThe room is clean and big. The staffs is friendly and agreed for our late check out. the breakfast is just ok. Very near to Metro, so easy o move around.
MMay SF TsengLocation is top of the consideration. Centre located that you can walk to most popular attraction. Metro or tram is very close within steps. Hotel is partly renovated. I believe it will be amazing when finished. Breakfast is not included. 15 Lev per person with small buffet that you can choose most popular items, ie, eggs, ham, sausages, breads or cereals. But they are not very hot on the warmers. However, I would still recommend people to go there for sleep and shower. Room was big enough and balcony overlook the city. Price is very good compare to same standard 3 stars hotel. Staff speaks reasonable English that is convenient. Good luck!
ゲゲストA lot to love but some big problems too.
Amazing location, great big room, and very easy check-in. Love that there's a sofa in the room and a fridge.
Problems:
- A/C (Or a pump of some sort) extremely loud from 6am in our room (3) and made sleeping impossible, extremely annoying. It lasted hours.
- Bathroom had a bad smell like sewage, constantly.
- No shower curtain turned the bathroom into a lake every time we showered, even when trying to be careful.
