We totally enjoyed A unique resort experience at the Plantaran Menjangan situated in the picturesque West Bali national park. Wonderfully looked after by a very attentive staff, we found the range of activities provided us with plenty of choice. Accommodation in our large villa was outstanding. A perfect way to enjoy this spectacular part of Bali.

We have stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It is not the most modern of all hotels for sure but it is kept in a good condition. The main exception is the road running through the hotel grounds which has seen better days. We have had a Vila in front of the sea but swimming is not possible. At one day we have had the opportunity to watch the monkeys playing, jumping, diving and bathing in front of our villa. The Vila is a traditional Balinese home with an exterior bathroom and toilet which we liked. The restaurants are nice and offer good quality of food. The spa interior is beautiful and I can recommend the treatment (we have had Balinese massage). There are deers all over the place usually eating grass in the gardens in front of the villas. A wonderful experience seeing them so close to us but you wont manage to come near them. There is a big tower build in the middle of the hotel which offers magnificent views of the surrounding national parc. Not far away from this tower there is a spot where the time zones change. Depending on the villa you stay in you could have a Balinese or a Javanese time zone. I must admit that I haven’t had such an experience in the past. It could be tricky though because it separates the hotel grounds in two different time zones and if you are not aware of this you could end missing your breakfast or other activities. On one day the children of the adjacent village came to the hotel and danced for the guests and we are reallly very thankful for their efforts. Watching all those little girls dancing was a real spectacle. The staff of the hotel is very very friendly even if not always well trained. This should not be considered as a minus in any case because they are doing all their best. We have spent a morning snorkelling at the beautiful coral reefs which are located around the Menjangan island which is situated a few kilometres opposite to the hotel between Bali and Java. We also had dinner at the second restaurant which is located in the same grounds but belongs to a different hotel and we have had a nice dinner and a very friendly staff there too. At our departure the hotel offered us a photo of us taken on arrival which was printed on a piece of wood. They have also planted a small mangrove tree on our name which we hope it will grow healthy. Thank you for the wonderful stay and the beautiful nature! I recommend this hotel to everyone who needs a few days of quiet and loves the nature.

We had the best stay here. We went to spend our honeymoon here and had the best time. Gorgeous hotel, very clean, the friendliest and accommodating staff that made our stay wonderful. I recommended it 10000%. Thank you so much to everyone and we will be coming back for sure xx shams and Ismail 🩷

Very unique experience to stay inside the National forest. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We went on a great snorkeling adventure and nature walk while staying there. Be careful of the monkeys though as they will stalk you if you have food!!

What an amazing hotel this is. The whole experience from the moment we arrived will never be forgotten. The staff are so kind, the views stunning, the peaceful environment in what is left of natural jungle is a credit to the owners and all the people they employ, you should feel really proud of what you have achieved. Our stay in this hotel was just perfect. At check-in we received a welcome drink, a relaxing massage and a personnel welcome. We stayed in a forest villa. The villa was beautifully decorated. In the evening they came to prepare the beds for sleeping and put some anti-mosquito equipment. The service was very personalised and all of the staff gave us the feeling to be welcome. Everyone was very helpful. The lunch and diner were delicious and the breakfast is made "à la carte", a really good start of the day. According to European standards, the prices are very low. After our stay we received a picture of the mangrove tree they planted to compensate our stay. This was the best service we ever had in a hotel. It deserves a 10 out of 10.

It isn't all it's cracked up to me. The property is sparse, a bit run down and not worth the trip or the price tag. Better options available.

We stayed in one of the Mangrove Villas, with Privat Beach only Deers and Monkey's shared the beach with us. We had a great time. Food was good, i had best calamare in my life. Super breakfast with fresh juice and fresh fruit. We could take a mountainbike without extra charge and make a tour in the Dschungel, it was a bitty that the Dschungel was so try, the need rain. We are going to do it again.
