We are so happy with had the opportunity to meet our Hostess Arestides he was above and beyond exceptional. He was helpful and he was able to get our transportation to the airport the correct time. Also, any restaurant reservation he was able to take care that for us and suggested great restaurant by the area by calling the restaurant I making sure we get a table with a nice view. He was very nice explaining everything to us when we arrive to the hotel and show us all the highlights of the island the best beaches and places to go. We felt safe and happy everything we will go to the front desk, and he was there to assist us. I can't thank you enough for all you time and hospitality. we are so happy we stayed there. The staff were so friendly, the rooms were immaculate. It was so peaceful and safe. I loved our pool right outside of our room 101, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is not too far from the center to Fira by walk about 7 minutes. Thank you again Arestides and the entire Staff.

I travelled with my friend. We liked everything very much, the location is great, the hotel is great too. The pool is very nice and cleaned every day. My recommendation for breakfast is to experiment with other types of food (I would like to see fish and not just fried eggs and scrambled eggs). In general, we liked everything and we can go back there again.
Summary: This hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as it is all hills and steps (pretty steep, slippery and lots of them!). We will not be recommending or returning to this hotel! And probably not return to Santorini, which is suffering from too many tourists, especially large cruise ships without the infrastructure to cope! Sucha a shame for a pretty island. BTW. We fell in love with all the other islands we visited during our Greek island hopping holiday. Back to Nano Suites! All the TripAdvisor 5* ratings persuaded us to book this hotel. A mistake! Some of the reviews have negative comments and yet still rated as 5* !!! Also, I can now see that one review was NOT for this hotel because it mentions being “right in the middle of Oía”. This is obviously a different hotel! The good bits: Sunrise in a peaceful, quiet setting. Clean, spacious, beautifully furnished rooms. Ali and Marios are helpful, lovely, gentle men. The not-so good bits: 5 min walk from their car park up a steep slope of uneven, slippery, difficult cobble steps! The hotel is built on a hill so every public room is on a different level with steep unaided steps i.e. no rails. The rooms have air condenser units and air conditioning units because the rooms are and damp! This, means noise all day and NIGHT! The breakfast food is very average. We had 3 weeks on 4 different islands in the Cyclades. The food here was the worst we had! There is no manager “on the ground”. Meggy stays in the office; busy with administration. We planned to use the bus service having been told that the bus stops in the village. However, the bus does’s stop on the village any more, but on the main road with an impossible walk to the hotel. My fist husband found it hard with our bags. It was impossible for me with replacement hips and slightly weak muscles. I’m not disabled at all, but the walk from the bus stop is not suitable for those with any mobility limitation. The village restaurants are difficult walks steep slopes of uneven, slippery, difficult cobble steps! We ate at the village restaurants: Metaxi Max and Anemoloos. Anemoloos is a friendly, family-run restaurant; the food is OK and average price for Santorini. Metaxi Max is suffering from it’s success and greed - see my separate review for Metaxi Mas.
We recently stayed at the Hermoso Luxury Suites in Santorini. In short, I really liked this small hotel. Our room was spacious and clean with a view of the ocean. Breakfast was included and served hot food, although it was the same each day. There was a nice pool to enjoy. Zach was very accommodating and very helpful. The hotel is close to the airport. On a plus, it makes getting around the island convenient because everything is accessible by car. Being close to the airport, you do hear the planes landing and taking off. It's not that frequent and it didn't bother us.

What an amazing GEM. Santo Mangata was recommended to my best friend and I on our way to Santorini from Mykonos by a former guest. Everything about the stay was magical the location was fantastic, the food and drinks were top tier. Our suite came with a jacuzzi on the balcony which was perfect after the hustle and bustle of the Mykonos nightlife. The property was calm and relaxing with a stunning view of the mountain from the pool side. Staff was very welcoming and the hotel Manager Tasos was available to answer any questions, he was very friendly and knowledgeable of the island and things to do. I’m already looking forward to my visit next summer. I think I’ve found my new home away from home at Santo Mangata.
SO-- Due to only being able to spend two days in our first trip to Santorini we watched hundreds of hours of videos and read every review I could find in order to find the prefect place to stay. We chose Oia like everyone should if they can as it is just plain beautiful! Our checklist included best location in order to maximize out short time, crater view, privacy (a rare commodity in Oia) with an outside hot tub maybe all the thousands of visitors can look into from above, a few lounge chairs, a patio for eating, no more than $500 a night which is quite high for us, AND a great breakfast. Although we had focused in on 10 different hotels ALL of our checkboxes were met by Filotera Suites. It had it all-- privacy in the tub, awesome location in the middle of town, fantastic view, a working clean hot tub, sling chairs, patio for eating breakfast, and a tremendous staff. THIS hotel only has a few rooms, all the better to feel overcrowded, the bell met us at the taxi and took our luggage to the lobby (and wait until you see the lobby view!) AND we were served a TERRIFC breakfast at a time of our choice including omlettes, chocolate crepes and pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee, and croissants. WOW! A large call out to the terrific staff ESPECIALLY Ayggro (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) she was so helpful including getting us an incredible table at Oia Gefsis for sunset at the last minute. SHE made our short stay awesome. STAY HERE if you can-- you will not regret it-- WE LOVED IT!
While listed as a two star hotel, I would more accurately rate it as a five star cave hotel. What a beautiful view, comfortable room, and attentive staff. We spent 5 nights here (on our last as I type). We received an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi. It was WONDERFUL, and a very pleasant surprise. Costas and Faye, along with the rest of the staff strive to please, and have great recommendations for both dining, and activities. The highlight of our trip was the catamaran cruise. While not inexpensive, worth every penny. Every morning when I walked out on our balcony, we continued to be amazed with the view . Breakfast each day on our balcony was fabulous. So glad my wife chose this hotel after reading previous recommendations. You will be pleased to stay here.
RRealCalifornianWhite Pearl Villas was wonderful!
As we arrived, we were proactively greeted by a member of the staff. He attended to our baggage and walked us down to the Aqua Villa Dream room. The room wasn’t on the highest part of Oia, but it was near a great terrace which had lawn chairs and which we used for photos.
Our room has a personal terrace as well with a comfortable chair, but the view from there wasn’t the best.
As we entered the room, we saw that we’d been given a complimentary bottle of wine as well as a bottle of water. The staff member gave us a quick tour of the room, which was interestingly shaped and carved into the cliff. It felt very unique and cozy. We had a smart television that we used for Netflix, as well as a refrigerator. The room also had a jacuzzi, though we didn’t use it as we were visiting in August and it was already quite warm outside. The plunge pool had a cool window that opened to the ocean, though.
The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower was good quality with strong water pressure and consistent temperature.
The staff added me on WhatsApp for easy communication which was GREAT.
The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets as well as a hollow headboard which was good for putting our phones and other things over night. Everything in the room was cleaned when we arrived. There was also a cleaning service when we were away during the day.
The air conditioner was strong and there was a dehumidifier as well. There were plenty of towels and outlets, though we of course needed a converter for our American electronic devices.
There was a coffee maker with easy to use pods, as well as 2 pairs of soft white slippers.
We did not try the breakfast or the massage service.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. My only wish is that the view directly from our room was a bit better, as the room is tucked into the mountainside. However, there were nice photo spots all around us, so we only had to take 20 steps to get a nice view of the sunrise or sunset in comfy chairs. If I return to Santorini, I will absolutely stay here again!
ゲゲストWe have just come back from this wonderful hotel, firstly we were greeted from the lovely reception staff that couldn’t do enough for us they offered us a glass of wine on arrival . This hotel was amazing especially the little touches cold flannels round the pool to all the staff constantly making sure we were ok and if we need anything !rooms were beautiful with lovely views surrounding the hotel .we had a room with a hot tub (lush) also very clean at all times cleaned every day and fresh towels every day .To the amazing staff in in hotel but for us we loved two of the bar staff called kostas and Demetrius both were amazing and went far and beyond for us and our friends these two are a real Credit to the hotel .The hotel is situated in a perfect location a bit of a hill to walk up to the main fara but definitely in most flattest location ,we will definitely be coming back to visit this hotel we had a amazing holiday thank u for everything Astro palace x from Kerry and Graham the card trick champs !x
ゲゲストLovely hotel that is very central in Fira. We stayed on the hotel side of Antonia and loved the decor of the room. We appreciated that they had shutters outside to help keep the noise and light of the room. The room was nicely appointed with many lights and we enjoyed the decor. The bed and pillows were very comfy and we appreciated that there was a coffee/tea station and a mini fridge in the room. The room was large enough for the two of us and there was a nice small balcony outside with a small table and two chairs. The bathroom shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed only had one sheet on it but there was a comforter and the temperature was easy to control. There was slippers available in the room which were good for the cold washroom floor. The hotel rooms have smart TVs that are easy to connect to for Disney+ or Netflix but you have to install an application if you'd like to screencast.
The hotel has some nice common areas to hang out including two pool areas and a space by reception. The pools were closed when we came in March but it was also a little cool so we did not mind. They should be cleaned and ready to go by the summer. We really enjoyed the space by reception where there are lots of seats and benches to sit and hang out with other guests, or in our case the rest of our family. Anytime you are in the common area the staff will offer to make you a coffee or tea which was very nice of them.
The staff are sincere and welcoming. Once we checked in they asked if we had some time or if we would want to go directly to our rooms. We said we would have time and they brought out a map of Santorini and marked down the places we could check out during our stay. The hotel also offers a good tour of the island for 40 Euros per person which includes 7 stops including Oia, red sand beach, a black sand beach and the monestary. We had 5 people in our group and did our own tour using a car rental company nearby but would consider the hotel's tour if we were just a couple. The hotel staff were helpful and responsive even before we came - they assisted us with a booking error I had made and we resolved it quickly over the phone and a short email.
Transport to/from the hotel from the airport is easy because there is a bus station nearby and it costs 2 euros per person and the bus station is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus wasn't running too frequently during our stay on Santorini and if that is the case during your stay you can book the hotel's shuttle service - they have a large comfy van and charge 7 Euros per person. The alternative is a taxi and you are at the will of the driver for the ~10 minute drive and could be charged 40-50 from what we hear.
The hotel does not offer breakfast or room service but there are many good restaurants nearby. The hotel recommended a few that were within a five minute walk of the hotel and the one we tried was lovely. There is a grocery store about 100 m from the hotel that has pretty much everything and there's a bakery near the Fira Main Square. Souvenirs can also be bought at the Fira Main Square and they probably have the best prices we saw in Santorini for souvenirs!
Overall, it was a great stay and because we stayed in March we got an awesome price. The room we had was nice, quiet and comfy during our stay.
