The hotel is very new. Although it is close to the highway and the airport, you can't hear any noise from outside. However, the internal sound insulation is not good enough. I can heard the noise from the next room, and also heard the noise from the floor above at 3 o'clock in the middle of the night.
ゲゲストMy husband, 2 sons and I stayed at the Inn at Northrup Station recently while in Portland visiting our daughter. The location worked out very well for us and everyone enjoyed the breakfast. The first night, our bathroom door squeaked when we got up in the middle of the night to use the facilities waking others in the room. I talked to the front desk in the morning and they came in and gave it some oil which worked perfectly to silence it during the night. Very much appreciated! The beds seemed smaller than normal queen sized beds but we had no way of verifying that. Luckily there was a pull out sofa in our room so one of our sons slept on that after the first night. The bed did seem smaller than our queen at home to my husband and me as well.
HHannahRNorrisI stayed here for one night in the king deluxe for an insanely low price. This gorgeous historic hotel is located in the downtown district of Baker City and it is easily the most picturesque experience of the town. The hotel has kept most of its original furnishings, crystal chandeliers everywhere, and a stunning stained glass skylight in the restaurant.
Erika at the front desk helped me with check in and valet (so affordable!), and she even offered treats that she made herself to my dog! The restaurant was gorgeous, my waitress Jenny had great recommendations for dinner, overall a fantastic evening. I could not have asked for a better stay.
JJoAnna McDonnellLet me start with cudos for Elizabeth at the front desk. I'd say she did everything in her control to make my stay excellent. GREAT customer service there. The van driver, however, made me feel unimportant. What????? We have to turn the van back around to return to the hotel to pick up a pilot? Even though you were late in picking me up and nearly making me late for my own connection? GACK!
I'd say the company puts a lot of money into the lobby and the exterior. Sadly, once you step off the elevator, everything is a little shabby, torn and run-down. Perfect to lure in the traveler who won't be coming back.
