Great location, excellent pitstop for trips along Coromandel. Ample parking spots for those who are driving or on road trips.
Only downside was the WiFi, as it was rather unstable.
We had a wonderful stay at the hostel. The staff were very friendly and gave us a thorough introduction to the hostel, including its lovely animal residents, like baby lambs, deer, pig, and horse. A highlight of my stay was the chance to feed the baby lamb, which was a truly memorable experience! The facilities are basic, but everything is in good working order and covers the essentials. The bedding was clean, and they provided a clear wall guide on how to set it up, which was helpful and a nice touch. Overall, it was a cozy, enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend it to others!

ゲゲストWe stayed as a family of 4 the rooms were emaculately clean, the beds were beautiful and very generous sizing, local milk in beauitful glass bottles connecting the local rural communiy was a great touch. All appliances were new and whisper quiet, which meant we all slept very well. Glenys gave us plenty of advice on where to take the children, local hot pools were a hit and the domain next door with playground gardens and basket ball courts for free family fun, the exploding geyser was great entertainment, very handy location to all the walking tracks up mt Te aroha, supermarket and shops easy walking distance from motel.
The service was second to none.
Rod and Glenys were amazing hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best stay.
We had car trouble, and they opened their garage and time to help us get back on the road forever grateful.Truely, beautiful caring people.
We will be back again soon and have told all our friends and family of our new favorite motel
ゲゲストWhen l arrived at the Motel l found out that when l was doing the booking l should have taken note that there is no reception on site. When l rang the purported site the call was not a friendly one.I took an uber to collect the keys .And soon as l opened the door to my room which was room 9 l was discombobulated. It appeared no house keeping had been done prior to my moving in.The bins were all full of rubbish. The bedding had not been changed .Two McDonald’s empty drinks by the sink area. Two cups and a spoon in the sink see photos.I was then moved to room 7 which appeared to be clean but that inconvenience made me enraged😡
LLaRainaReally liked the convenient check in, decent bed for the price we paid however could do with better or extra pillows. We only had one pillow each and they were well past their days (very thin with no cushioning at all).
In the morning, we realised that there was no power, this however could have been from a power cut. It was close to check out time so we did not bother inquiring further.
DDominique FishI stayed here with my mum and brother in a kitchen cabin. The cabin itself was quite basic and very small – fine for one night, but it would feel too cramped for a longer stay.
That said, the campsite itself is lovely and the swimming pools were an absolute highlight. We really loved them and would happily stay here again just for the pools alone.
Next time, I’d definitely upgrade the accommodation to something more spacious. An on-site café would also be a great addition and would really enhance the overall experience.
JJiensuper affordable. my room was really clean and the facilities like showers and kitchen was clean too. it was off season so not much crowd, plenty of space in the fridge for my food. Room had everything i needed, including a fan. Laundry services were slightly pricey at $6/wash and $6/dry, bring your own detergent, or buy some during store hours at the little shop near checkin. no vending machine for it! really rocky beach right behind the property, had loads of fun just hanging around.
