The staff was very friendly and the place is very clean and felt safe. If you want a quiet place to stay and relax, Melville Turret Guest House is the place to stay.

A wonderful place in the heart of Melville! We love coming here again and again. The warm welcome, the delicious breakfast and many nice conversations with the manager of the house, she is the soul of the Turret Guesthouse. All the rooms are beautiful, very clean and have everything you need. The small garden behind the house and the veranda at the front offer cozy places to linger. WiFi works well everywhere. Pubs, restaurants, shopping center 27 Boxes, all within walking distance. We will be back!

We stayed at the Melville Turrett for 2 nights at the start of our holiday in SA and returned there for a single night before our flight home. The room was clean and comfortable although it lacked a/c or a fan (we didn't ask for one so can't comment on whether one was available), so if you are suscepible to insect bites make sure that you have repellent. Breakfast was decent with a cold buffet and a hot dish, plus hot and cold drinks. The staff were polite and helpful. The owner was happy to provide advice about eating out and general security. The guest house is only a 20-30 minute drive from the airport and so is an excellent choice for anyone arriving into O.R Tambo.

I loved and enjoyed my stay, the place looked quite clean, aesthetic and breathtaking. I would surely recommend. They have the best service and staff, I loved mam'prisca's service and patience. The breakfast was also good. Keep it up

We had stayed previously at one of the ground floor units. On this particular trip we stayed in the Loft suite. We found it to be spacious and bright, with a large king size bed and separate sitting area. The bathroom is lovely and has both a shower and a separate bathtub. The only slight drawback is that in terms of self catering it would be hard to do much more than a simple breakfast or light meal. The sink is more of a small bar style sink, with cold water. Other than that the unit was perfect! Prisca, the manager, was very friendly and helpful.
