I enjoyed my stay at nomads, it is much more better than my expectations based on so many good and bad reviews online. The kitchen have enough utensils and cookware for everybody too. Just one thing that the kitchen is a bit small to accommodate the amount of backpackers here and it gets too crowded especially during dinner time. The toilet water pressure is a bit low that you will always get surprise in it. There will be no wifi and weak signal at 8 ppl dorm as it is far away from the centre and you will need to walk to the common area to surf internet.
Access to accommodation was clear and concise and reminder texts forwarded just before my trip.
Loved the luggage lift, as I thought I’d have 4 trips up the 14 steps to the first floor, which made it a “piece of cake” for this 70 year old to get to my room! 👍 … and a very helpful staff member offered to help me carry my luggage from the luggage lift to my room.
My room, with kitchenette, was VERY clean.
I was hesitant about noise when I saw a train line across the road and saw a plane fly overhead, HOWEVER, the unit was very quiet and I slept better and much longer, the 2 nights I was there than I do at home.
IilovetravelyeahhI really enjoyed staying here! It was SO CLEAN and the beds were absolutely wonderful - so comfy! Th best of my life, actually. We did get an upgrade to 3-bedroom Oasis building, room 204, by the way. That was so amazing and we would definitely stay again and would love to. It's like brand new and is such a beautiful apartment and building in general. Just a short walk to the beach (like a few minutes). Great undercover parking - secure, with remotes - and just such a great stay. The cleaners for the apartment were so great. You only get 1 clean per 7 days, it seems, but we liked that - we could enjoy the privacy and there are cleaning tools in there - like vacuum, mop, etc. and iron, great washing machine and dryer, which we enjoyed using daily. The kitchen is fully equipped and it's basically an apartment.
So just so you know - it seems to be a real estate agency who lets rooms in varying apartment buildings in the precinct (all within walking distance from each other). So I guess if you book based on photos, you may not actually get that room or apartment block. But we had a great experience and would love to stay again. It's so close to the beach and the beach is so clean - no litter. Lifeguards are even there.
It's more of a quiet place to stay and more longterm or self-serve kind of thing; and that's great for people who want to basically rent a home for a short time, really, like we did. We had 11 nights as we were moving house and needed somewhere to stay and we so enjoyed it! I want to buy it haha. It's not like a resort nor hotel, really - it's maybe more like AirbnB but very professional and run by real state who is there in an office a short walk away, and they seem very professional and great. I don't usually like AirbnB.
ゲゲストWhilst everything was fairly reasonable, the food was overpriced rubbish. It was more akin to the local greasy Joe's and $35 bucks for 2 small sized peices of Snapper and 2 bucks worth of Salad did not impress at all. Staff were friendly and helpful, but they prices were outrageous for the standard. Which was overcooked and very disappointing. You might get away with it from unsuspecting overseas visitors, but I'm sorry to say it was crap. I guess when you have zero competition you better cop it or never book there again. If i was an international tourist I would not think anything food related was more than mediocre at best.
The room rate was fair priced, however dining was nothing short of highway robbery. I accept the distance to deliver supply's definitely added to the pricing, it fell way short of ones expectations of a resort level quality. $35 bucks for a meal that resembled Bain Marie cheap pub grub did not by any means cut the mustard.
It will be one and only time we ever stay there. Feeling ripped off, does not inspire retention or return guests.
Cheap 3 star venue that costs the equivalent of much more, renders this tired resort 3 stars at best.
Most visitors to any of these types of places have expectations of a higher standard.
Get the food right and pricing becomes a non issue.
