We had a few issues leading up to the booking with Trip booking us 2 rooms by mistake but it was no problem to sort out with the hotel; they could see it was a duplicate and it was sorted. The hotel were very good at replying to emails and phone calls too.
When we arrived (late at night) reception was manned and they were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights and loved the location as it was just off a main road that we could take to drive into Cardiff or to Newport easily. But not close enough to the road to be bothered by road noise. There is also a very nice pub on site - we didn’t make it to eat there but it was lovely to have a few drinks.
It was not for me with the amount of people I went with. It might be for someone two couples but with a massive family of 605 I will advise them to go there.
Easy place to find and access. Room comfortable and warm. Bathrooms were plentiful and so there was never a wait. Kitchen area was a pleasant place to meet other people staying at the accommodation.
The decor of this suite deserves lots of special attention – antiques, books, and knick-knacks are all souvenirs of your hosts' travels all over the world, meant to immerse you into a feeling of wanderlust as you explore the city of Cardiff from the comfort of a Victorian villa. Staying on Cathedral Road is about as close to centre as you can get while still staying somewhere with a tranquil atmosphere, putting you close to great restaurants, museums, and famous sights. But let's focus on the studio for a moment. Not only is every piece of furniture a statement, you'll also find that the smaller details deserve plenty of praise. Luxurious bedding, a Nespresso coffee machine, a huge four-poster bed with a pillow selection to match your preference, and high-end toiletries, all testify to the hosts' desire to make sure you have a fantastic stay.
The Suite is an incredibly spacious and luxurious room in a private Victorian Villa in the most desirable location in Cardiff.
