We enjoyed two separate stays at Heaven's Rest during our last New Zealand visit. The first was just a couple of nights at the start of our trip in the 2 bedroom Suite, and then at the end of the trip we stayed a couple of nights in the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom tiny home. Both accommodations were extremely well appointed with comfy beds, crisp linens and spotlessly clean bathrooms. The 2bedroom suite is located in a wing of the main house, and is adjacent to the common lounge, the deck and the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with other guests in the common areas but if you weren't of a mind, you could relax comfortably in your room and watch TV or chill on the deck away from others. The kitchen was very well stocked and the continental breakfast supplies were plentiful with many options... even fresh eggs if you choose to cook. The two bedroom/two bathroom tiny home allowed for more privacy and was every bit as comfortable and spotless as the main house. Both the house and the two bedroom tiny home have a rural aspect which is extremely relaxing. Manager Robert was super friendly and helpful. The location is about a 5-10min drive from the bustling centre of Pukekohe with all the conveniences and an array of restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. Heaven's Rest B&B is simply a delightful place to stay and we will definitely make time to stay again when next we visit beautiful NZ.
I reserved two rooms on points and arrived from AKL at 630am with my family of 4. I knew we were very early and had expected we wouldn’t be able to check in. We were greeted by Front desk manager Anna (sp?). She initially told us we could store our luggage and use the gym to change our clothes. After a few minutes m, she came back and said she was able to get two rooms for us to check into immediately. It was greatly appreciated. After that, check in was quick. My Diamond status was recognized and was offered free continental breakfast. We were given rooms 109 and 111 which are connecting. The rooms were well appointed and very stylish. Everything was modern from climate control to all the outlets available (including wireless charging areas on nightstands). Don’t worry if you don’t have an adapter here! The mattress is very comfortable, but I didn’t like the pillows. They made my neck hurt. Bath products are Crabtree and Evelyn and the water pressure is great. We did use room service one night and it was delivered within 30 minutes. The crispy Korean chicken was quite good. Breakfast in the restaurant is also good. $20 for continental and $30 for full. Standard options available. All the staff in the morning were friendly and welcoming. The location is about 25-30 mins from AKL, and south of CBD. It’s a good spot to base out of if you are exploring area south of Auckland. There are McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Sushi, and convenience store all across the street (5-10 min walk). This is not a place to stay if you are looking to explore CBD or are looking for a lot retail and food within walking distance. But for us, it was just fine. The entire property is new and there is a great modern style to it. All the staff were courteous and welcoming. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.
