Guests staying have access to a fully equipped kitchenette. Shower and toilet have toiletries. Free WiFi. is non-smoking and features a hot tub outside. There is also a fire pit where night time one can be warm while watching the beautiful stars shining bright.
The lodge sits on the sea wall overlooking the Severn Estuary and the Bristol Channel. It is a wonderful place to watch the tide come in and out. Towels and bed linen are provided. It is peaceful, relaxing , yet not far from the many amenities and places to visit nearby.
Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is 17 km from the bed and breakfast, while Cardiff University is 17 km from the property. Cardiff Airport is 44 km away.

Honestly, I’m not even gonna lie Mercure Hotel in Newport is such a wonderful place! From the moment we arrived, the receptionist who attended to us was super lovely. She explained everything about our voucher clearly, and even when we had to go back downstairs to ask her something (because I wasn’t really paying attention but my man was 😅), she was still so patient and kind.
The whole experience was amazing. I had a really great night the bed was super comfy, the food and dinner at the lounge were delicious, and the service throughout was top-notch. Breakfast the next morning was also soooo good! The hotel was spotless, the vibe was calm, and everything felt just perfect.
I genuinely recommend Mercure Newport to anyone planning to stay in the area. Whether you’re visiting or you already live in Newport, you have to experience how clean, luxurious, and peaceful it is. It’s such a relaxing and cozy environment! 🖤✨

Some of the frontline staff charged me a different card payment than the booking agent had agreed to. This made me feel very confused. Fortunately, their senior management, Mr. Deepy, listened patiently to my explanation and understood my discounted room rate. He explained everything clearly and eased my worries. After a few days, the card was finally charged correctly.

ゲストOverall, I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. The location was also very convenient.
The only downside was the TV. It was almost impossible to work—the remote was confusing, and no matter what I tried, I couldn't easily access the channels or use the features. It would definitely help if the instructions were clearer or the system was updated.
Apart from that, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning.

Fabulous location for the university and city centre, good shower, and everything that could be cleaned was spotless. Windows were an exception, but you can't blame the staff for that.
Mattresses were well-used and some of the bedding was slightly tired, plus my apartment had a lingering doggy smell. That said, it was a good price and the range of organisations in the building is fascinating. I'd recommend taking the stairs. It's a 10-storey education.

Très pratique pour assister à un match ou autre événement à Cardiff, à environ 20 min de la gare de Newport. Personnel très sympathique, chambre correct et calme. Cuisine commune. Très bonne sécurité du lieu
