This is a MUST SEE!There are many things to do on St Thomas & St John during your stay. Starting with a short walk down the beach to the Sapphire Beach Bar (about 2 minute walk) to enjoy the live music played there on the weekends or grab a burger for lunch/dinner. From there you can catch a safari or jump in your rental car to head into nearby Red Hook where you can find a variety of restaurants and shops; as well as a grocery store (5 minutes away). If you want something more adventurous then book a charter, feed the tarpon, or go out on a dive with a local dive shop; all located in Red Hook. There are all kinds of adventures awaiting you! You can even take a zipline tour through the treetops of St Thomas or take an eco tour while kayaking. Looking for a different pace? Take the car barge or people ferry, from Red Hook, over to St John for the day. On St John there is hiking, diving, snorkeling, sugar cane mill ruins, restaurants, shops, and so much more. A large portion of St John is a national park. So, it is a different kind of beauty than St Thomas. It is a luxury to stay on St Thomas, where everything is so much more accessible, but still be able to run over to St John, for the day, to enjoy the quiet tranquility. If it is going to make an appearance it is most likely during the summer time/hurricane season. This and the clean up process is out of our control & just because it is on the beach today does not mean it will be on the beach the next day. The island works hard at getting it cleared as quickly as possible.
