Very welcoming check in and that theme continued with every staff interaction. They were friendly and not just responsive but proactive to our needs. A real highlight. Our superior room was spacious, very quiet with a good bathroom and excellent wifi. Location is brilliant - just a short walk from the centre of the old town with lots of good restaurants, bars, cafes in easy and interesting walking distance. There is a bus stop and taxi rank out the front and a metro station is about a 5 min level walk away. Recommendations: trattoria Rosmarino, the hole in the wall gelateria right next to Rosmarino, Le Collone and for pastries, coffee or an aperitivo - Mangini (cash only). Breakfast was good with high quality ingredients and barista made coffee included (10 euro per person). It was very hot when were there and the air con struggled to keep up but we slept fine and at any other time of the year it would be fine.
No elevators, so be ready to lift your suitcases and luggage. The rooms were spacious and neatly decorated to Italian design. Breakfast was very good though the lady looking after the room was probably in a bad mood and keep telling us that we need to do this or don't do that, instead of cordially telling the guests how it is done. Front desk staff was also very helpful and answered all our questions. Beautiful lobby space too.
Interesting hotel located on third and fourth floors- so you need to go up in the vintage lift to find! Rooms crafted in a vintage architectural building on main shopping street. Continental breakfast a must. Service at hotel was great and friendly. Walking distance to Genoa Brignole station and other attractions. Good for a family.
We stayed at HNN Luxary Suites in Genoa, Italy last night! It’s my first time in Italy and we checked in late after a long journey from Bologna Airport. Beautiful large room with simple & modern decor and beautiful windows that open up and overlook courtyard. It’s walking to distance to several fabulous restaurants where we dined at and had ours standing pasta & wine. It’s about a mile from the water or less. Would def stay here again!
Albergo essenziale senza fronzoli e salamelecchi inutili. Personale molto cortese e massima pulizia ovunque.
We'll start with the good: 1. Location was central & really great 2. Breakfast was very good, and for only 4 euros The less good: 1. Internet was terrible. Hardly worked in the hotel. 2. The noise was bad. We heard everything going on in the nearby rooms. People flushing the toilet. Baby crying. Or a group of teenagers on a school trip made it feel like a hostel. We tried to rest before dinner and there was a hammer banging. 3. When we arrived and had questions about the area, the receptionist wasn't so nice and didn't have much patience. 4. The pillow case was not clean. We don't know if it was an iron stain..but shouldn't have been there
We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Very nice breafast. Perfect lovation in the old city. Everything within walkingdistance. Nice and clean rooms. Nice and quiet. Aircon working perfectly. Fridge in the room, which was actually cold.
WWelllingtonThe location is really convenient for anyone traveling by train, but the only problem is the environment does not look very safe around. But the staff are so nice and patient. Really appreciate their help and guidance for my trip in Genova.
This hotel is past its prime. It was probably super swanky when it was built, and has stunning views over Genoas port and railway station - but it has not kept up to modern standards. The rooms feel outdated and old. However: the price is low, and for travellers arriving by train the hotel could not be better placed. The rooms have high ceilings and excellent aircondition, as well as good water pressure in the bathrooms. We stayed two nights in the middle of the heat wave and could not have asked for better sleep. Our only complaint would be that the night receptionist did not seem to like his guests very much. We would absolutely recommend the hotel for travellers on a budget, travellers who would like to live close to Genoas narrow & non-gentrified alleyways, and trainspotters who will enjoy the views to all arriving trains!
