We had a lovely stay at little dolphin hotel. Mr Zhao was lovely and very friendly and helpful and there are great views from the roof. We had a room with a private hot tub on a terrace which was heaven to relax in at 40 degrees. Mr Zhao helped us plan where to visit and made a lovely noodle breakfast along with homemade pickles that were delicious. The bed was very comfortable. He is like a kind father, telling us to stay safe and showing us around. Only consideration is it's quite a long taxi ride from little dolphin to Dali ancient town on the other side of erhai lake but Didi is easy to use and inexpensive by British standards (about £8 for an hour's ride) ☺️

Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. サービスはとても良く、家主は熱心ですぐに電話に出てくれます。このコミュニティはまさに別荘地であり、建物は美しく、部屋のインテリアデザインもとても素敵です。家には設備が完備されています。 3階に宿泊し、4階の屋上に上がりました。洱海の景色は本当に美しかったです。公共エリアもとても快適でした。とても満足したので、皆さんにもここに泊まることをおすすめします。

Very quiet, nice place. Attentive and helpful staff, clean and well equipped rooms, good breakfast. Caution! Be sure to ask for a code for the entrance gate, because it is closed at night. We did not know about it and we waited a long time at the gate for other guests who had the code to come.

Thank you very much for your warm hospitality during our four-night stay. We truly had a wonderful time here. Although we stayed at many five-star hotels during this trip, we still feel that this has been the best accommodation experience so far. We made quite a few troublesome requests during our stay, yet you fulfilled all of them without hesitation. We are sincerely grateful for that. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends, and we will certainly come back again if we have the opportunity in the future! They were also very nice enough to pick us at the train station when we reached dali from lijiang and drop us at the train station again to catch the train to kun ming FOC! Highly recommend this stay to anyone who is looking to come to Dali!

Our stay at the hotel was a mix of positive experiences and significant disappointments. Let me start with the highlights, which were undoubtedly the service and the food. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and prompt to respond to any requests we made. Their welcoming attitude was commendable. We also enjoyed the meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was nice. However, we faced several critical issues with our room that severely impacted our comfort and rest. Firstly, the room description was misleading. It explicitly mentioned access to a private hot spring, which was a key factor in our booking decision. To our disappointment, there was no hot spring facility available. The most significant problem was the air conditioning. The hotel uses a centralized A/C system. On the night of our stay, as the room was warm, we needed cooling. However, we were informed that because most of the guest had switched to heating mode, the A/C could not be turned on for our room. To make matters worse, no fan was provided as an alternative. We returned to the hotel quite late, and only realized the A/C issue around 1:30 AM. With the room being uncomfortably warm and stuffy, our only recourse was to leave the room door open for quite some time to cool it down. This was a major downside as it disrupted our much-needed rest time, especially since we had to wake up at 8:00 the next morning. This situation was highly inconvenient and frankly, unacceptable. In summary, while the service team and dining experience are great, the inaccuracies in the room description and the critical lack of climate control in the room make it difficult to recommend without reservation. We hope the management addresses these issues.

ホテルのオーナーはとても親切で、女将は無限の優しさと思いやりを示しています。毎日戻ってくると、女将はいつも温かく、自家栽培の新鮮な果物と独特の味のドライフルーツを味わうように誘ってくれます。朝食に関しては、それは完全に上司が作った傑作です。子供がトマトと卵麺を好むことを知った上司は、毎朝自分で料理し、私たちのために後味の無限の麺を調理しました。 ホテルの客室は広として明るく、清潔できれいです。屋内には畳があり、そこからエルハイ湖の壮大な景色を眺めることができます。さらに驚くべきことに、部屋にはバスタブ付きの広としたテラスもあります。夜になると、私たちは露天風呂を体験して、暖かい水に浸かり、洱海の静かな美しさを楽しみながら、星空を見上げました。 夕方、まるで世界が遅くなったかのように、静かでのんびりとした別荘群の近くを散歩します。さらに嬉しいことに、ホテルの周りには子供用の楽園もあり、施設は豊かで面白いです。これは私が今までプレイした中で最高の楽園です。 ここでは、私たちは家を出ずに一日中のんびりと過ごすことができます。快適な環境に横たわって、憧れの遅い生活を送って、幸福感が生まれました。

The location of the room is quite near the Dali Old Town, within walking distance. The cleanliness of the room is fair as the property is not very new, and the flooring has aged. There isn’t hooks or rack in the bathroom to place clothes. However, the two guys at the front desk, Ah Kun and Xiao Guo are super helpful, providing very good service during our stay there. They helped to carry our luggage up to the room, and to the car when we checked-out. They are very responsive through WeChat whenever we need help. Also, the breakfast prepared by the staff is good, with mixian, porridge, egg, corn, mantou and tomatoes. We feel warm by the nice people in the home stay, will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wish to stay near the old town.
