Warm Light by Erhai Lake Once again, we say goodbye with that familiar ache of reluctance in our hearts. Yet this farewell is softened by a unexpected tenderness—a beautiful twist of fate. A sudden bout of altitude sickness in Lijiang forced us to alter our plans and return to Dali. Little did we know this detour would lead us to the most wonderful surprise: XingMu Villa, tucked away on the green slopes of Haidong. Perhaps this was destiny's gentle hand at work all along? We were truly blessed to meet the villa's kind-hearted owners, whose genuine warmth made us feel as though we had returned to a home we never knew we had. The goodbye was especially moving. When our driver, Master He, arrived, the owners personally came out to see us off. We shared joyful smiles in a farewell photo, and they gifted us my favorite rose tea—a touching gesture I'll always remember. The hostess, aware of my recent knee injury, carefully helped me into the car, her eyes filled with such sincere care, as if I were her own. When she said how much she enjoyed hosting us and how special we were to her, my heart echoed every word. Though every wonderful journey must eventually end, the memories we've made here will stay with us forever. As our car carried us away, the gentle scent of rose tea still lingered, a fragrant reminder of this heartwarming chapter. Until we meet again, XingMu Villa. May you continue to shine brightly, and may every traveler who finds their way to your doors experience the same extraordinary warmth that embraced us during our stay.

Amazing stay, the staff was so hospitable. Truly top tier service! We had an included photoshoot package and the photographer was really great, was able to help guide us through the shoot while ensuring we had fun! The breakfast was GOOD, and the scenery and rooms are so truly aesthetic. Would love to return again this place was so dreamy, such a lovely resort ~~

The hotel room design and surroundings were true to picture, and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff were extremely hospitable, and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Would definitely stay here again.

雲南省9日間の旅の最終目的地、大理理想郷！ 雲上天来ホテルに2泊3日宿泊しました。洞窟のような部屋が特徴のギリシャ・サントリーニスタイルのホテルです。部屋は真っ白でとても広く、設備も充実しています！ 最も賞賛すべきことは、ホテルには特別なバトラー サービスがあることです。当ホテルのバトラーは「シャオドン」と呼ばれ、非常に勤勉で親切でフレンドリーな地元の若者です。 2泊3日の旅では、まるでゲストのようなおもてなしを受けました！ ホテル内には、写真を撮るのが好きな旅行者に嬉しいチェックインスポットがたくさん！ ホテルの近くには理想的な庭園もあり、入場料68元で公園内で写真を撮ることができます〜とても価値があります！

We stayed at the family loft room for 2 days. The room has a mezzanine floor for a second bed for our 2 kids, and has a balcony looking out to the Erhai lake with great view, from sunrise, daylight and sunset. The breakfast buffet is good. Next to the hotel there is a bicycle rental store, 20 rmb for bicycle, 60 rmb for e-bike. Cycling next to the lake is very relaxing as there are fewer people here on the road vs other parts of Erhai, you can enjoy the calm atmosphere and beautiful nature.

Thank you very much for your warm hospitality during our four-night stay. We truly had a wonderful time here. Although we stayed at many five-star hotels during this trip, we still feel that this has been the best accommodation experience so far. We made quite a few troublesome requests during our stay, yet you fulfilled all of them without hesitation. We are sincerely grateful for that. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends, and we will certainly come back again if we have the opportunity in the future! They were also very nice enough to pick us at the train station when we reached dali from lijiang and drop us at the train station again to catch the train to kun ming FOC! Highly recommend this stay to anyone who is looking to come to Dali!

Their service is incredible and the hotel is very clean. Staff were friendly and really helpful, thanks to them for offering a suitable solution for my sick friend who needed more rest. We didn’t get the time to walk around the hotel, so the pictures I took were mainly the surrounding area which was beautiful. (Didn’t expect to see so many 蓝花 still at the end of May) As for the room, it was big and spacious. First picture is view, last picture was when we were stargazing. The only things to note is that there isn’t really a place for clothes in the shower area, only a small place to hold shower bottles. Another would be the need to plug the insect repellent to the switch upon entering the room. We were oblivious at first so there were many mosquitoes in the common area, and thankfully none in the other room. Finally a tip, you can ask them to transport you to 理想邦 and there is also a discount. Overall, we had a lovely stay thanks to the hotel’s hospitality☺️

Our stay at the hotel was a mix of positive experiences and significant disappointments. Let me start with the highlights, which were undoubtedly the service and the food. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and prompt to respond to any requests we made. Their welcoming attitude was commendable. We also enjoyed the meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was nice. However, we faced several critical issues with our room that severely impacted our comfort and rest. Firstly, the room description was misleading. It explicitly mentioned access to a private hot spring, which was a key factor in our booking decision. To our disappointment, there was no hot spring facility available. The most significant problem was the air conditioning. The hotel uses a centralized A/C system. On the night of our stay, as the room was warm, we needed cooling. However, we were informed that because most of the guest had switched to heating mode, the A/C could not be turned on for our room. To make matters worse, no fan was provided as an alternative. We returned to the hotel quite late, and only realized the A/C issue around 1:30 AM. With the room being uncomfortably warm and stuffy, our only recourse was to leave the room door open for quite some time to cool it down. This was a major downside as it disrupted our much-needed rest time, especially since we had to wake up at 8:00 the next morning. This situation was highly inconvenient and frankly, unacceptable. In summary, while the service team and dining experience are great, the inaccuracies in the room description and the critical lack of climate control in the room make it difficult to recommend without reservation. We hope the management addresses these issues.

花園特別特別漂亮，種滿了各式各樣的花，站在露台就可以看到遠處的洱海。房東姐姐很熱情，葡萄柚子茶好好喝，坐在前台看外面小魚池反射進來的水影，波光粼粼的，特別漂亮。房間很乾凈，香香的，連體重秤都有，沐浴露的香味也很喜歡，甚至還有小孩子用的拖鞋，看得出房東很用心地設計和經營，裝修得很漂亮。小陽台也可以看到洱海。看日出的話打車不到十分鐘就能到三聖島看了，然後再騎電動一路過去龍龕碼頭就好了～
