We had a wonderful 3-night stay here and truly enjoyed every moment. The hotel offers beautiful views and a peaceful, zen-like atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax after exploring Dali. One of our favourite spots was the lovely garden and reading area, which is beautifully maintained and creates a calm, relaxing environment. Whether enjoying a quiet morning or winding down in the evening, it added so much charm to our stay. The lady boss was incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She even took the time to prepare tea for us and chat with us, which made our stay feel especially personal and memorable. The daily breakfast was simple, healthy, and thoughtfully prepared, lovely way to start each day. The location is also very convenient, being close to both Dali Ancient Town and Cangshan, making it easy to get around and explore the area. A special touch was the complimentary one-way transfer to the train station, which made our departure smooth and hassle-free. Every staff member we met was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We were also excited to hear that the hotel is adding more amenities and facilities, so future guests will have even more to look forward to. It’s clear that the owners care deeply about their guests and are constantly working to make the experience even better. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, well cared for, and with beautiful memories of Dali. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic stay.

Oh my god, I randomly stumbled upon this hidden gem of a homestay and it’s an absolute game-changer! It’s just a 5-minute walk from Dali Ancient Town, and getting a taxi to other places is a breeze. Like, transportation here couldn’t be more convenient! The place is straight-up stunning—so peaceful, chic, and seriously, it’s a photographer’s dream! I’m not even joking, you’ll be snapping pics non-stop!!!! Every corner screams Instagram-worthy!!!!!! Did I mention it’s perfect for photo ops???? 😂 And get this—the owner’s got a whole stash of great wine, the service is excellent, and their coffee? Holy moly, it’s mind-blowing! I was so not expecting that. For real, this is hands down the best homestay I’ve ever crashed at. No contest! If you’re heading to Dali, do yourself a favor and BOOK THIS PLACE. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse, Dali | A poetic stay in a century-old Bai courtyard We’ve just returned from Dali, and the place we keep thinking about most is this hidden gem at the foot of Cangshan Mountain — Mutian Time Designer Guesthouse. Oriental aesthetics in every corner The guesthouse is converted from a century-old traditional Bai courtyard house. With its grey-tiled roofs, white walls, and beautifully carved wooden structures, the space carries a quiet sense of history and elegance. The courtyard features water elements, stone paths, and blue and yellow lanterns that create beautiful layers of light and shadow during the day. At night, the soft lighting outlines the architecture and gives the entire space a warm, cinematic atmosphere. The common areas are equally charming, with a stone-built fireplace, vintage furniture, and art pieces thoughtfully placed throughout. The design blends traditional Eastern aesthetics with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and refined. Comfort with thoughtful details Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. A stone feature wall behind the bed, paired with soft bedding and warm lighting, created a subtle sense of “wild luxury” while still feeling cosy and relaxed. Opening the window reveals the courtyard view — waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the lanterns glow in the evening adds a special charm to the stay. Warm and attentive service From booking to check-out, the hosts were welcoming and attentive. Upon arrival, they introduced the history of the house and highlighted the design features of the property, and were happy to recommend nearby restaurants and local spots to explore. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, with fresh fruit and delicate snacks — perfect for enjoying a slow afternoon in the courtyard. Breakfast included some local Bai-style flavours, simple yet delicious, and a lovely way to start the day. A peaceful location near the old town The guesthouse is tucked away in Zhongyin Village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, about a 15-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. It offers a quiet retreat away from the crowds while still being conveniently close to the main attractions. Surrounded by village life and forested hills, the air feels fresh and full of the scent of nature. More than just a place to stay, Mutian Time feels like a living piece of art. It brought a sense of calm and poetry to our trip to Dali. とても良いホテルです。千元台では最高のコスパと言っても過言ではありません！電車を降りると、ホテルのサービススタッフが無料で迎えに来てくれるので、自分で車を探す手間が省けます。駐車場からホテルに入ると、ホテルのサービススタッフが玄関で出迎えてくれ、荷物を部屋まで運ぶのを手伝ってくれました。チェックイン後、スムーズに部屋に入ることができ、ウェルカムドリンクとフルーツプレートが用意されていて、どれも新鮮で絶品です。部屋の様々な設備はとても新しく、レイアウトも合理的で、照明も科学的です。家電製品やバスルームの設備も非常に技術的で、オーナーのセンスが光ります。ホテルは大理マンション第二期のほぼ最高地点にあり、ここから眺める洱海はバリ島のような気分です。特に夜、バルコニーに座って風に吹かれながら、オーナーが用意してくれたカンフーティー（お茶の質もとても良い）を飲むのは、言うまでもなく気持ちが良いです。旅行するなら。レンタカーを借りて楽しむのが良いでしょう。この場所ではタクシーに乗ったり、オンラインタクシーを呼んだりするのもとても便利で、テイクアウトの配達もできます。2日目の朝食は種類が豊富で新鮮です。オレンジジュースは新鮮な果物から絞られており、コーヒーも美味しいです。これらの細かい点も良いです。ホテルでしっかり食事をしなかったのは残念です。味は悪くないと思います。全体的にとても楽しい旅行で、特にサービススタッフのシャオ・ジャオさんのお言葉に感激しました。ホテルがますます良くなることを願っています。また必ず利用したいと思います。

このホテルは、今回犬と一緒に雲南を旅行した中で一番快適なホテルでした。予約したのは一戸建てのプライベート温泉ヴィラで、文字通り独立した庭付きの一軒家です。建物は庭の中に完全に独立して建っており、庭の壁で隔てられています。引き戸のガラスドアの防音性も良く、プライバシーが非常に保たれています。 ホテルは古城の北門にありますが、敷地内はとても静かで外の観光客に影響されることはありません。緑が多くてとてもきれいで、朝出かけると蒼山を見ることができます。 フロントの女性スタッフの方々は皆サービスが素晴らしく、ハウスキーパーからのWeChatへの返信もほとんどがフロントからで、返信は非常に迅速で、ゲストのリクエストに素早く対応してくれます。 チェックアウトの際に指輪を部屋に忘れてしまい、清掃スタッフの方がすぐにフロントの女性に連絡してくれました。警備員の方がすぐに部屋に取りに行って渡してくれて、大変感謝しています！ 敷地内の温泉は快適でしたが、唯一の欠点はハウスキーピングのサービスについて、よりトレーニングが必要な点です。初日は自分たちでお湯を入れましたが、ハウスキーパーがハウスキーピングのスタッフに頼んで入浴剤、バスソルト、お菓子、飲み物、タオルを持ってきてくれました。2日目、温泉に入る前にハウスキーピングのスタッフがお湯を入れてすぐに立ち去ろうとしたので、入浴用のものが用意されていないのかと尋ねると、彼女は「お使いになりますか」とまさかの返答でした。呆れてしまいました。次に、温泉用のタオルはどこかと尋ねると、彼女は「バスルームにタオルがあるじゃないですか、そちらから持ってきて使ってください」と言いました。なぜそんなに急いで帰りたかったのか分かりませんが、もし犬を怖がっているのだとしたら、私の犬は部屋に閉じ込めていたので、全く彼女に影響を与えることはありませんでした。

Their service is amazing when you're with them but they take forever to reply when trying to contact them before the stay. I was trying to get hold of them for a logistical issue. Other than that, they did wonders in making sure I felt comfortable. There's this tram that needs to be booked by then when we arrive. They are very quick in responding to me whenever I needed it which made the experience very seamless.

2nd time stay at the hotel. The hotel's location and cost-effectiveness are big big plus. The hotel staff is very helpful and with great service mind. Location: in a small alley just a bit away from the mainstreet and entrance to the Old Town. So guests can enjoy the proximity to main attractions without a lot of noise from the street. It is also convenient to get taxi (than living right inside the old town where cars are not allowed inside.) The North Gate market is also near (10-minute walk) Rooms: relatively new with smart control (door lock, toilet, TV, air conditioning). Room size is quite small but quite ok for the price. Rooms are clean without smell.. The only minus might be weak noise protection. So if your neighbours are noisy, you might need earplugs. But apart from that nothing to complain.

Outstanding service and room quality! Really appreciative of Judy and the other customer service staff who went out of their way to make the stay truly phenomenal! Being up the mountainside, the view was amazing and the villa grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Any issues and queries we had were answered promptly and resolved fast. It’s a short car ride to the old town, and it’s easy to call a car at the villa. Would recommend this place for travellers who want a place to relax and enjoy their time in Dali! Thanks Judy!! (:
