After waiting for three years to return because of the international travel restrictions, we found that this hotel has become one of Spain's most disappointing experiences in the last decade. Although the spa services continue to be of high quality and good value, the Restaurante Converso has become a trucker's stop with Manhattan prices. During a stay of one week, we couldn't stand the third night of airplane food, poor service, and outlandish prices. Instead, we decide to eat at the bar/cafeteria, which, at least, doesn't have the whiff of sophistication. Add to this that the suite had problems that you shouldn't find in a 5-star hotel (request extra towels and robes after spa services, replenish bottles of water, remind that the laundry was due two days ago, and, worse of all, ask to turn on the toilet tank's valve), and I can't recommend this hotel to anyone for the prices they charge. Sad to witness the descent to mediocrity and outright deception of a company that offered good value both at Burgo de Osma and Valbuena del Duero in the mid-2010s.
