We love it! The rooftop restaurant and pool is luxurious and fun. Angel and Eduardo were our attentive, professional and friendly waiters. The food was fresh and tasty. We loved the lemon pie and quinoa bowl! The room is contemporary, clean and includes everything you need. The front desk staff are great too! They helped us coordinate a local tour. Paula was great. A 7-11, retail shops, spas and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved this hotel and wouldn’t change a thing. We stayed for five nights and it was the perfect length to relax and explore the area. We plan to return for another relaxing vacation.
My husband and I came here for my 40th birthday and this hotel was seriously amazing! I cried when I got home because I missed it so much. We originally booked at the neighbor hotel, Alea, but they weren't finished remodeling so they put us here. They provided us with an upgraded room that had a rooftop plunge pool, and a credit for the inconvenience and it was no inconvenience at all!! The food was great, including the free breakfast and every single staff member was beyond kind and helpful! I wish I could remember all of their names because every single one of them were wonderful people. I'm actually really hoping that we are able to come back here sooner than later, because the weather (and my health) wasn't cooperating for the first half of our trip, so we missed out on doing some things in the area. There is also a beautiful cenote right across the street with a resident (friendly) crocodile named Panchito and he swam with us while we kayaked. It was seriously so cool! Do yourself a favor and book this hotel. It's like a small piece of paradise while still being in a great area and close enough to see things. And if you want to stay at the hotel and just enjoy the beach and the nearby cenote, you will still get your moneys worth and have an amazing time!
Pros: Very Friendly and attentive staff Comfortable beds and pillows Relaxing cenote area Vegan options First two days were tranquil and relaxing Small but clean pool in public area Towers were nice for watching sunrise Cool treehouse Price (don't expect the Ritz when you are paying for a Days Inn) Prompt cab service Can escape to excellent restaurant and beach clubs in town (via cab) ”Kans” Lack of communication for reservations so we didn't get a room with the amenities we thought we were getting. Plunge pool ended up being a very small steep hot tub that was no longer circulating. (We were told we had the glass one pictured) Lukewarm bath water A concert transformed the whole area into an ecological travesty with chaos. Overrun with Influencers and Instagrammers who were not even guests of the property Excessively loud with doors shut and rear plus. Although owner offered to move is both the resort is so small it wouldn't have made a difference. Check in area had two rather foul mouth guests upon arrival. Not the best impression. Dirt road wasn't such a good idea. $40 for ten min cab ride (incl tip) to town each way Felt a bit trapped... Resort is very small. Menu items don't vary much . Ok for a day or two tho. Need coffee or juice earlier than 8:30am... Or coffee makers. There was an incredible lack of wildlife due to eco damage and noise.
The hotel was beautiful! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel has amazing food at their restaurant and we ate there several times. Gym was ok. They also had a spa with sauna, cold plunge, and yoga area. Our only issue was that the streets to get there are horrible!!! Honestly the worst streets I’ve ever been on. Extremely muddy with potholes.
Nice building. Decent space. My wife and I stayed In The standard room for 2 nights and the master suite with pool for 2 nights. The standard room is connected to other rooms and there is a blocked wooden door between them and you can hear everything between the rooms. We were in bed sleeping at 940pm and the front desk disturbed me and my wife to tell us to turn down the music when we were not making noise. I guess it’s an honest mistake but they could check for the noise in person before disturbing us. The standard room was good enough though, comfortable beds. The master suite with pool didn’t have a tv in the bedroom and only had a tv the size of my iPad in the living area, maybe 32 inch at most. It had a noisy refrigerator of which the water on the door did not work and I looked up the spout and there was mould growing on the tip. Unacceptable. There is no black out blinds/curtains so everyone who walks past can look through and everyone does look because they are curious to see the ‘master suite’ and that felt uncomfortable. The suite pool was stone cold, and in the event of it being in direct sunlight, a cold pool would be nice. However the pools on the ground level have ZERO sun exposure so we didn’t even use the pool. We were annoyed that our first breakfast by the pool area was horrifically disturbed by the sound of hammering power tools/construction work happening 10 feet away from us at 920am. And to top it off, The chef over cooked my poached eggs everyday. To be honest, I was glad to leave this place. It was Very average if not below average treatment from staff. I always felt like I was bothering them. They don’t give you bottled water in the room every day, they give you 2 small bottle only upon check in and then charge you nearly 20 dollars for 2 one litre bottles, or tell you to walk to the 7eleven which is a 15 minute walk along a dangerous street with a smashed up pathway in what feels like a rough neighbourhood. The food was good generally, the cocktails were good and the waiter staff were pleasant.
BBob SExceptional restaurant setting food and staff. Comida y Bebidas. Breakfast is particularly good! Gracias Rigo y Pablo! Cabanas are clean and comfy. This time of year moscos are everywhere after rain. Use the provided repellent and bed screen to avoid bites. Beautiful garden well maintained. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. You can get great tours with pickup at hotel. Gracias Adrian at reception for all the help with tours and transport around. Coba and Sian Kaan. We took taxi to Tulum temples and walked back to hotel on beach! There is a catamaran snorkel tour nearby. Hotel is in national Park and you an see the ancient temples up on the cliff from the beach. Sometimes traffic entering the park to hotels. Plastic on beach is an issue through out area.. but seaweed is raked up on front of them most mornings. Hasta la vista!
DDiego VExcelente service and friendly staff! It’s so near to the ruin yo can walk there. Clean and fresh rooms, everything in order The pool is really good, top scene and bartenders know what are they doing, cool crafted local beers and everything goes smoothly
