It was a standard hotel, you get what you pay for. The gym's tiny but the main fault was the heating didn't work and it was a fairly cold night. Breakfast was decent though. 3/5
House keeping every day, swimming pool + gym + sauna free to use, nice staff, free spacious parking, extra pillows, spacious room, lift access.
The only bad thing is the bath tub a bit small, and the shower curtain smells bad after use.
Supermarket is just around the corner, Little „Plaza“ in Front with various Restaurants and other Hotels. Reasonable walking distance from central Station.
Luckily Trip solced the misunderstanding with them regarding issuance of invoice by Hotel vs by Trio.
Service was gründlich.
We have stayed many times at the hotel. But sadly it seems to be going down hill a bit . Our room was good but the bathroom was not in good condition, the sink tap was old and not in good conditions and the shower control didn’t work to turn the temperature down ( not good as this could scold someone) . The reception had no one on it several times so you couldn’t talk to someone. Then breakfast in the morning was nice but there was only one person trying to do everything which wasn’t good . Tables left uncleared and people had to wait ages to get served. The fruit juice wasn’t kept cold like it used to be , and the waiter used his bare hands to replenish the beard instead of tongs or covered hand . It’s sad as this hotel is a great place but not being run well .
Really lovely hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The service received from check-in to checking-out was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
An excellent Holiday Inn 4* hotel in Aylesbury which has friendly front desk service (24 hours). Excellent breakfast facilities (buffet). Sports facilities swimming, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There is also gym area. To get access to the pool area you require a code. There are locks in the changing room which I didn't like (combination) as my locker did unlock. Once you check-in you will be given a leaflet that explains about the hotel facilities and times. Thses pictures are from the men's changing room.
ゲゲストAnother wonderful stay in this hotel. Had an upgrade from the manager Johnny & also complementary breakfast given due to an issue with the guests in the room next to us on our last visit( Not a hotel issue) He is always so helpful & goes above & beyond to make sure you’re stay is a pleasant one, really can’t fault the customer service.
Lovely hotel, situated in a perfect location close to all amenities. I would highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Milton Keynes.
BBells on the roadOnly one person on reception so check in took 20 minutes . First room too hot, air conditioning not available and window opens onto M40. Second room on courtyard, so much better. However due to check in issues took 45 minutes to get new room. Breakfast good but orange juice tasted like grapefruit.
ゲゲストFrom the moment we arrived at Danesfield House, we were treated extremely well. All of the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us, even carrying our luggage to our room.
Our room had a beautiful view over the river Thames and hotel gardens and the four poster bed was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and clean and their were plenty of towels and toiletries.
I had booked a treatment in the Spa for my wife and all of the staff were amazing. The Spa itself was very nice, and although the jacuzzi was out of action, this did not spoil the experience at all.
Finally, our breakfast was wonderful. We were greeted and shown to our seats immediately. Our order was taken for our choice of breakfast by a lovely waitress and coffee and toast was brought to us by an absolutely wonderful waiter who had the biggest smile that never left his face the entire time we were in the restaurant. He was extremely polite and just made you smile with his infectious enthusiasm for the ”fabulous filter coffee” and the ”terrific toast” (his words, not mine) that he served us. I just wish I had his name to include with this review as he deserves a special mention.
Overall it was a fantastic experience and the right choice of hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We will definitely be coming back.
ゲゲストThis hotel looks beautiful from outside with a lovely ground and impressive entrance, but however, I found the room & common area not so impressive they need to give it a face lift to deserve the room rate. Especially with a high bathtub it’s quite dangerous as it’s slippery when you step into it to have a shower, even with the rubber mat on it , luckily I brought along my rubber slipper, which I can use to have a shower to prevent from slipping . Our room included breakfast, buffet table selection of food were poor, and the quality of food was not great even with basic smoke salmon it looks stale & the cooked breakfast was ok not impressive. The front desk reception staff were not helpful with problem . But the manager at the front desk was very helpful when we checked out , after hearing our comments about the problem he took note said he’ll look into the problem & told us to contact him when decide to stay with them next time. I do appreciate his helpfulness & trying to make the best of the situation, Cliveden Hotel should treasure him as the hotel manager.
