ニュージーランドマールボロ地方で、朝食のあるホテル

We stayed at Portage Hotel as a family with three children and chose it as one of the final stops of our four-week road trip. It turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our journey. We were genuinely impressed by the location, the service, and the overall facilities. The setting is simply stunning, peaceful and scenic, yet the hotel offers a wide range of activities, which made it perfect for traveling with kids. Despite being high season, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly customer-oriented. You never felt rushed or overlooked, which is not always a given during busy holiday periods. We especially appreciated that many activities are included at no extra cost, such as canoes and stand-up paddleboards. There is also a pool, which was a big plus for the children after long days of exploring. The rooms are well equipped and thoughtfully designed. A small but lovely detail was the beautifully scented selection of shampoos and creams provided in the room, which added a very pleasant touch to the stay. The value for money feels absolutely justified. The food was good, the drink selection more than sufficient, and the wine list offered something for everyone. All in all, a fantastic place for families and travelers looking for comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. We would happily return and can highly recommend the Portage Hotel.

まず良い点から。立地も良く、部屋も清潔でした。 しかし、ダブルベッドで海が見える部屋を2部屋予約しました。料金も支払いました。しかし、料金に見合ったサービスが受けられませんでした。 ダブルベッドの部屋が1部屋と、ダブルベッドとシングルベッドが1部屋ずつ（ちなみにシングルベッドは本当に小さかったです）用意された部屋が1部屋だけでした。混乱したので、受付に行って尋ねました。 そして、サービスは全く良くありませんでした。受付の女性は、そのような2部屋タイプは存在しないと言いました。なぜそのような部屋を用意しているのか尋ねましたが、彼女は何も答えられませんでした。「ファミリールームにダウングレードできる」と言われましたが、それ以上は何もできませんでした。そして、ただ笑うだけでした。本当に失礼だと思います。 朝食は全く良くありませんでした。トースト、フルーツ、パンケーキ、オートミールしかありませんでした。もっと良くできると思います。 チェックアウト後、外に出たら、ホテルのアカウントに100ユーロの請求がされていたんです。それでホテルに戻りました。すると、スタッフが調べてくれて、UPSのミスだったと返金してくれたんです。本当に変だなと思いました。

設備は問題ありませんでした。予約したダブルルームにはダブルベッドが1台しかありませんでした。ベッド横のナイトスタンドや部屋にテーブルすらありませんでした。ヒーターや扇風機もなく、空気中に少し湿気があり、部屋はカビ臭く感じました。この日夜のように雨が降っている時は除湿機があると良いでしょう。問題はホテルの他の宿泊客でした。午前4時に、上の階の喫煙エリアで誰かが大声で電話で話しているので起こされました…真夜中にベッドから出て、どこか他の場所に行くか電話を切るように頼まなければなりませんでした。馬鹿げていました。真夜中に誰かがとても香りのよい食事を作ったため、建物全体が匂いでいっぱいになりました。その匂いはとても強烈で、キッチンから一番遠い私たちの部屋にまで染み込んでいました…一晩中眠ることもできず、誰かの食事の真ん中に座っているような気分になるのは、良い滞在とは言えません。料金に見合うものではありません。

Had a lovely stay at Scenic Hotel Marlborough to end off our trip in New Zealand. The hotel room was much bigger than our previous hotel stays, where we could comfortably open both our large-sized luggage to repack. Apart from the spacious rooms, we love how clean the toilets were and how tidy our rooms are done up by room service each time we return from our day out. The stand out however, was the service provided to us by the staff. We arrived around midnight as we had a long drive from Fox Glacier to get here but the staff was ever ready to receive us, and even gave us recommendations on what to visit around Marlborough during our stay. During our stay, there were occasions where we opted to buy food back to enjoy in our hotel room and the room service was readily available to provide us whatever we needed to have a lovely meal in, including plates, wine glasses and even condiments. Highly recommended!!

An excellent boutique experience. Sennen House has a story to tell, and it’s a beautiful place to discover it. Set in a quiet location, its grounds are fantastic, utilising every piece of space cleverly; the welcoming croquet set was a taste of what was to come. The room we stayed in was great. Nice views and good spaces. Having a separate living and dining area is always a bonus, but its well appointed kitchen with a coffee machine was an extra one! The little baking treats left each day were lovely touches and were enjoyed. It was lovely to organise and portion out our own breakfast each morning, and having ownership of this was a bonus. If we are lucky enough to visit Picton again, we would definitely make this venue our first choice.

I loved it here!  I was a single traveler, and this was by far the best stay of my 2 weeks in New Zealand.  The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and had a kitchenette.  I tend to over do the adventure on my vacations, but this was my most chill morning on the trip.  The staff is friendly, and as crazy as it sounds, the breakfast was worth it!  I wish I could  have stayed here on the return trip.

素晴らしい宿泊施設。複数の共有バスルーム付きの快適なベッドなので、長い待ち時間はありません良い設備。おもてなしとサービスは良かった、所有者は素晴らしくてフレンドリーでした。滞在を計画している場合はお勧めです。

スペースもとても広くて環境も良いです。街中にあります。フロントデスクはフレンドリーで、私たちが行った日は雨が降っていたので、寒さを避けるために無料のホットミルクを提供してくれました。宿泊がオススメですよ〜
