Cat's Cove is situated on 2 private beachfront acres on the beautiful turquoise waters of the Exuma Sound. And with an empty lot next to us for even more privacy! We recently purchased the home in 2021 and have made many upgrades and renovations including new windows and doors in June 2023. ***For how to get to Cat Island...please scroll to the end!***The Space:The home features a large Tiki bar with seating for 8+, solar nighttime lighting, a sundeck, open floor plan with a fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, and wifi throughout the home. The "Cove" beach is wonderful for snorkeling right from the beach (we have some gear, but also bring own gear!). You can see many colorful tropical fish less than 50 yards from the beach! The "Tiki" beach to the left features pristine white soft sand and is ideal for swimming and relaxing. Just follow the short yellow ball path in front of the Tiki Bar to find the beach! (the sand shifts with the seasons, so depending when you're there, it might be more sandy on the Cove Beach, it might be more sandy on the Tiki beach!). **When storms come the sand sometimes washes away from 1 or both beaches. It always comes back, but we'll try to keep you updated as your date approaches how sandy each beach is!** [See updated pics of the beaches from Sept 2024, super super sandy!]The home features 3 bedrooms, a king, a queen, and 2 singles. The primary bedroom has access to a bathroom with dual sinks, newly installed large walk-in shower with natural stone and tile floors, and with a rain showerhead. All bedrooms enjoy their own outdoor access directly to the beach with beautiful views. The home also features beach chairs, various board games and reading books to enjoy when relaxing. Guests have access to 2 ocean kayaks. Please be sure to drag them well up the beach when not as use as guests will be responsible for a charge of $1500 per kayak to replace them if lost or damaged. Guest access:New dishwasher, new stove, new washer/dryer. Although always best to hang clothes on the outside clothesline with the ocean breezes! Wifi: We added Starlink in 2023 which provides generally very fast internet speeds. We also have an outdoor extender and an indoor one. You will fall in love with this beautiful 1,400 sq. ft. five-room stone house, located directly on the leeward side of a gorgeous, secluded beach. Our two bedroom home is positioned among many palm trees, just steps from one of the prettiest pristine beaches you will ever see. The beach gradually extends -- coral free -- into the blue water. Further offshore are reefs that are perfect for fishing, scuba diving or snorkeling. This home sleeps four, and has two bedrooms with king size beds and one bath. Linens and towels are provided. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker and washing machine. The living room has a fireplace, radio, CD, TV/VCR and a large selection of movies. The 42 x 17 foot patio has a gas BBQ and lounge chairs and is perfect for sunbathing. Included with the house are 2 kayaks, perfect to take into our creek for bone fishing, sea turtle watching and snorkeling. One of the things which Cat Island is known for is its bone fishing. Don't miss it! Our 2006 Ford Escape is available for rent to explore the island's blue hole, sea glass exploring and historic structures.We have a large cabana located on the beach for those times when you want to escape the sun. A perfect spot for watching the children or watching the setting sun. You can also enjoy a large enclosed outdoor shower.
