We stayed at Portage Hotel as a family with three children and chose it as one of the final stops of our four-week road trip. It turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our journey. We were genuinely impressed by the location, the service, and the overall facilities. The setting is simply stunning, peaceful and scenic, yet the hotel offers a wide range of activities, which made it perfect for traveling with kids. Despite being high season, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly customer-oriented. You never felt rushed or overlooked, which is not always a given during busy holiday periods. We especially appreciated that many activities are included at no extra cost, such as canoes and stand-up paddleboards. There is also a pool, which was a big plus for the children after long days of exploring. The rooms are well equipped and thoughtfully designed. A small but lovely detail was the beautifully scented selection of shampoos and creams provided in the room, which added a very pleasant touch to the stay. The value for money feels absolutely justified. The food was good, the drink selection more than sufficient, and the wine list offered something for everyone. All in all, a fantastic place for families and travelers looking for comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. We would happily return and can highly recommend the Portage Hotel.

ホテル自体は少し古さはありますが、よく整備されていて清潔です。サービスは良く、朝食も充実していました。プールは何年も使われていないようで、黒い藻が生えていましたが、私たちは泳ぐのがあまり好きではないので、問題ありませんでした。部屋は広々として良かったですが、防音はあまり良くありませんでした。隣の部屋から子供たちが遊んでいる声が聞こえてきます。ベッドは快適で、心地よかったです。清潔で柔らかな香りがしました。立地も良く、必要なものはすべて徒歩圏内です。

設備は問題ありませんでした。予約したダブルルームにはダブルベッドが1台しかありませんでした。ベッド横のナイトスタンドや部屋にテーブルすらありませんでした。ヒーターや扇風機もなく、空気中に少し湿気があり、部屋はカビ臭く感じました。この日夜のように雨が降っている時は除湿機があると良いでしょう。問題はホテルの他の宿泊客でした。午前4時に、上の階の喫煙エリアで誰かが大声で電話で話しているので起こされました…真夜中にベッドから出て、どこか他の場所に行くか電話を切るように頼まなければなりませんでした。馬鹿げていました。真夜中に誰かがとても香りのよい食事を作ったため、建物全体が匂いでいっぱいになりました。その匂いはとても強烈で、キッチンから一番遠い私たちの部屋にまで染み込んでいました…一晩中眠ることもできず、誰かの食事の真ん中に座っているような気分になるのは、良い滞在とは言えません。料金に見合うものではありません。

ニュージーランドでの旅行を終わらせるために、シーニックホテルマールボロで素敵な滞在をしました。ホテルの部屋は以前のホテル滞在よりもはるかに大きく、大きな荷物を快適に開いて再梱包することができました。広とした部屋とは別に、トイレがどれほどきれいだったか、そして私たちが一日から戻るたびにルームサービスによって部屋がどれほどきれいに整えられているかが大好きです。しかし、目立つのは、スタッフが私たちに提供するサービスでした。フォックス氷河から車で長いドライブでここに到着しましたが、スタッフは私たちを迎える準備ができていて、滞在中にマールボロ周辺を訪れるべき場所についてアドバイスさえしてくれました。滞在中、ホテルの部屋で楽しむために食べ物を買い戻すことを選択した機会があり、ルームサービスはプレート、ワイングラス、さらには調味料など、素敵な食事に必要なものを提供するためにすぐに利用できました。強くお勧めします!!

An excellent boutique experience. Sennen House has a story to tell, and it’s a beautiful place to discover it. Set in a quiet location, its grounds are fantastic, utilising every piece of space cleverly; the welcoming croquet set was a taste of what was to come. The room we stayed in was great. Nice views and good spaces. Having a separate living and dining area is always a bonus, but its well appointed kitchen with a coffee machine was an extra one! The little baking treats left each day were lovely touches and were enjoyed. It was lovely to organise and portion out our own breakfast each morning, and having ownership of this was a bonus. If we are lucky enough to visit Picton again, we would definitely make this venue our first choice.

プライベート所有、フレンドリーなオーナー。部屋は広としていてきれいでした。裏庭のドアの外に座席エリアがあり、良かったです。屋外家具は少し古いです。ベッドとリネンは2泊するのに適していました。この地域をツアーしている間、滞在する場所が必要でした。郵便ボートツアーが車でわずか35分のハブロック。通りの向かいにカウントダウン食料品店があり、便利でした。徒歩圏内にレストランはありません。

場所は、町の中心部ではなく、少し離れていますが、まれな平和をもたらします。標準のモーテル、ドアに駐車された車、仕事の後の夜の10時以降のフロントデスク、しかし幸いなことに一般にサービスは必要ありません。これは家族向けの自動運転ツアーで、2ベッドルームスイートを予約しました。広々として快適で、とても清潔です。一日の疲れ、私は熱いお風呂に入り、柔らかく快適なベッドで眠り、再び幸せになることができます。上司は中国人で、温かくもてなしやすいようで、上司はとても暖かいです。チェックインとチェックアウトは簡単で効率的であり、これは推奨事項です。

The place is not far from the town centre, just around 20 mins walk. The reception is nice and welcoming. The room is spacious. It can be a bit cold at night but the heater works well. The room’s sound proof isn’t very great. I can hear people next door close and open their room door. The kitchen area is supposed to open at 7am, but it was not when I left at around 7:30am, so it’s worth double checking the time with the reception.

Good location where just nearby Picton Ferry Terminal. get by there around 9pm but still allow to check in, and next day 6am just drop the keys in the box even though the office didn’t open. Normal amenities because what you paid is what you get, nothing complaint.

Friendly staff and very clean. Toast and cereal for breakfast - perfect way to start a day. I loved my stay here and will come back again for longer stay before taking ferry back to North Island.
