It was an excellent hotel with very good breakfast. Very good location if you want to stay near the train station and plan a trip outside of the city. Although there were no-smoking signs in the hallway, some people still smoked. This made for a slightly smoky smell. A welcome drink and/or fruit in the room would have been nice and could improve the already very good service.
The hotel is located next to a river, albeit dry during the winter. It is about 20 mins fast walk to the nearest busy night market.
The reception is fast and efficient, comes with free coffee (in a tea-oriented China, this is a rarity) for the guest, plus the mandatory buckets of tea (of course).
The room size is spacious, adequate to place 2 big luggage, with sufficient space & hanger to lay out all the winter clothing. Bed is comfortable, and the room heater was warm to endure -15C outside. The only downside might be the non-cooling fridge which we solve by placing our stuff (milk & oranges) outside the window for natural cooling. As for the breakfast, it is Chinese oriented, with the typical northern Chinese dishes, ********* sausage and soy drink.

Many traffic lights aren't even in operation and there are quite a few (3 I think) t+junctions that pedestrian have to cross via the underpass. The cars doesn't quite obey the traffic lights, so be careful and cautious.
For the hotel itself, it's definitely one of my favorite overall, out of my 3 hotel stays during my trip. According to the receptionist I was offered a room upgrade, so thank you! There were also lots of free treats evertime I cleared it, so thank you again! Love especially the red dates yogurt, it's definitely a must try (although they were 2-3days after expiry). I even went out to the grocery to get more! Regarding the amenities, the air conditioner works but can't be controlled. Tried setting temp to 5 degree Celsius (lowest settings) and 30 degree celcius (highest setting), both doesn't work. It seems like it is fixed to room temp +/- a few degrees based on the temp outdoor. One of the day I had sunburn and wanted to cool off but due to how the temp was determined, I have no choice but to sweat it out. Other than that, the tap water here had very visible residue that you can tell that it isn't clear, so I really recommend not using it for drinking water boiled or not. Aon my last day, I wanted to try the bathtub but when I turned on the tap, I had a shock. The water that came out was brown, so I cancelled my initial plan of using it for relaxation 😕. There is also a humidifier provided and I am super grateful for that, however the water ran out on the 2nd day and I can't seem to fill it up correctly. The toilet bowl is also a smart toilet bowl, but I didn't realized it after closer inspection while trying to find how to flush. Lastly, I was so looking forward to the stars celling but it's kinda sad that you can't turn it on on its own without having the other lights turned on as well. Which honestly defeats the purpose of having a star gazing celling.
ゲゲストI only speak English and the family were so patient in using translation apps. They were very kind in picking me up from the bus station (arranged by previous hotel) , had a fabulous hot shower and got a delicious dinner. Up early and with a lift to the caves had a lovely quiet visit. So kind, very much appreciated. Only slight difficulty for me was the firm bed, but I was able to make it work using a spare quilt as padding. Would stay again.
