This property is quite dated and eroding gradually and not your ideal Beach vacation spot. However, if you get the right room with a nice view you can ignore everything else. The nature elements (like the beachfront padded with cute coconut trees, private coves, and a stunning sunset) make up for the aging buildings and bump the rating of this place Was a great value for money at the price we paid. LOCATION: Lovely beachfront location DINE + DRINK: Overpriced and poorly decorated beachfront bar/restaurant that you should avoid! The breakfast restaurant was a stunner and was a breakfast to remember with mindblowing views and beach vibes ROOM: We stayed in Room 2511, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Lovely view of the ocean and the coves; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: OK cosmetics FACILITIES: No Gym on site, and a very dated and unappealing pool! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile. But the staff at the Beachfront bar were quite annoying and didnt seem to understand what attentive or polite service meant! HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment, mostly in FRENCH language!

Hôtel en décrépitude… vieillissant Le service est sans plus… Une fuite du climatiseur dans les Wc pendant 3 jours Après 5 nuits, toujours pas d’ampoules sur la lampe de chevet Le bar de la plage ouvert de 10h à 15h30… a toujours été fermé pendant notre séjour La facture de fin de séjour surestimée par des prestations non mises à jour et pas de responsable pour répondre à nos demandes L’emplacement est magnifique mais revoir la prestation client car la saison haute n’est pas commencée

We stayed here one night before getting on a sailboat for the following week. Overall a nice resort. Very good breakfast buffet with excellent coffee. Staff serving the coffee was comically slow, however. Get ready to wait ~15 minutes while you see many other staff standing there doing nothing but talking with each other. Hotel well situated on the ocean, but this is a man made lagoon that you share with water craft, so no real ability to swim much, and water is cloudy given people, tide and jet skis. So while pretty look at, there is not much interest in going in the water except to cool off. (We stayed at Hotel Fleur D’Epee for one day a week after we got off the boat, and those grounds, pool and location were overall better, however food was quite lacking in quality). We had dinner that evening at the restaurant on site and it was excellent. Every course was fantastic, and the service was also very good. Our ocean front room was basic and dated, but generally fine.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hotel Canella Beach, pour nos petites vacances hors saison. L’accueil chaleureux du personnel nous a tout de suite fait sentir chez nous. La piscine refaite à neuf est superbe, et le jardin tropical avec ses plantes aromatiques et citronniers est très agréable. La petite plage est mignonne, parfaite pour se détendre dans le calme. Nous avons apprécié la chambre récemment rénovée, surtout après avoir lu certains avis plus anciens qui ne semblent plus d’actualité. Prendre le petit déjeuner devant la mer avec cette vue magnifique est un vrai plus. Tout est frais et à volonté. Malheureusement, le restaurant était fermé jusqu’à début novembre, donc nous n’avons pas pu y prendre nos dîners, que nous avons pris juste à côté, dans des petits restos locaux. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation !
