Beautiful elegant period accommodation with antique furniture, surrounded by well manicured garden. We had fantastic views of the river and vineyards from the balcony ( room 6A) , The ”casa” is immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the spacious tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower was looking amazing. The owner Manuel was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He gave us a lift to the train station early in the morning, because of the national strike disruption and also prepared pack breakfast for us. A welcoming glass of port on our arrival also was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend Casa de Sao Domingos to anyone.

The hotel is beautiful with the mix of old and new architecture. Plenty of FOC parking inside the fortress(hotel) and outside. Walking distance to the town and everything you want to see in Chaves. For EV cars, there is a chargeable charging station inside the hotel’s parking.

Hotel Palace magnifique. Nous avons adore notre sejour; Que ce soit la reception , le service en chambre, le spa, tout etait super; Le personnel a l ecoute et serviable, nous y retournerons bientot

Incredible service from start to finish, best we received on our trip (which is saying something). The room was pristine, had small gifts for my better half’s birthday and the food/wine were excellent.   The honest bar was great and genuine interest in their wine was clear to see from everyone that we spoke to.

Fantastic stay. Very clean and beautifully presented hotel. Breakfast was lovely and staff were excellent. There is the occasional noise from trains at the back of the building, but very rarely. Would recommend!

Pequeno almoço muito bom, as comodidades excelentes tudo muito bonito e limpo. A localização é incrível com bom acesso, adorei a estadia

The stay at Quinta do Silval was really enjoyable. The view from the pool is stunning and the room is comfortable and quiet.  Hosts are welcoming.  Warning!!! Check the road before coming because Google Maps isn’t accurate and drove us through some dirt roads.
