Love the breakfast there! Complimentary coffee and tea all day long!
Location is very good as there is public transport right outside of the hotel.
Suitable for families or a weekend gate away as there is a very nice chocolate right outside of the hotel.
This hotel is well located and the service provided by the front desk staff, Ms. Iryna, is particularly considerate. If you encounter any problems, you can get them solved promptly by approaching her, which makes guests feel at ease during their stay.
I stayed for three nights and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The hotel is right in the centre of everything—restaurants, shops, and even the port are all just a short walk away, which made getting around super easy.
The place itself has this lovely, old-school charm. My room was really quiet and the bed was higher than I’m used to, but surprisingly comfortable, I slept like a log every night. The bathroom was huge, which I definitely appreciated.

ゲゲストWe booked for 2 nights using an app. When booking two nights straight, it will be more expensive than booking two nights seperately. The first night, the app suggested a disability room. I told the lady at the front desk if that room is needed for someone in need I don't mind changing. The room has a little more space than the 2nd room we had, but overall I would say much cleaner...with a funny smell. The second room, as soon as you get in, it smelled humid and mold; there were mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and all around the tub. Two of the towels were undone as if they were already used, and only has 1 set of towel for a 2 person staying. There were squashed bugs on the wall. On the bed, it seemed like someone stepped on it with their shoes on. (See pictures) All the staffs are very nice. I asked for extra towels and pillow cases and the lady at the front desk brought them to our room.
ゲゲストI stayed at Chateau Bedford, Trademark Collection by Wyndham from April 19–20, 2025, for a family trip to Halifax. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we needed extra towels, toiletries, and coffee refills, which were initially insufficient in the room.
The hotel facilities were generally good, but the TV casting function did not work properly during our stay. Also, the breakfast could offer a bit more variety, and unfortunately, the hot cake machine was out of order, which was a disappointment for my kids.
That said, the service team was responsive, and we appreciated their support throughout our stay. With a few improvements, the experience could be even better.
Thank you for your hospitality!
ゲゲストA very accessible location if you were doing the scenic Cabot Trail or needed a remote getaway. Our cottage was just next to a nice sandy beach. Equipped with swings, a BBQ, and a kitchen, this getaway has the essentials most groups would need. The staff was also very friendly when we arrived and exited. Keep in mind Jul and Aug is the peak season around here so it's reflected in the price. The property is also older so while they keep it clean, some doors and windows might not close well or there are holes in the nets etc. Some fix ups and it could be a great place for a week with the family.
