The hotel is located slightly off the main road, and the turn-off doesn’t match the map, which can make it tricky to find after dark. Don’t look for an “Etosha Village” sign on the highway — instead, follow the sign for Taleni Etosha Lodge.
Accommodation is good: spacious rooms overlooking the bush where antelopes graze, and a nice selection of dishes in the restaurant.
If you arrive in the Etosha area after 5 p.m., when the park gates are already closed, this is the best choice. The lodge is only 10 minutes from Anderson Gate. Everything here is much better than at NWR lodges — the only downside is no night access to the waterhole.
The lodge also offers guided safari tours.
This is an outstanding spot with beautiful lodges, stylish design, and a stunning, well-maintained property. Breakfasts are excellent, and service is top-notch. The only downside is the fixed table reservation system - you can’t switch to an empty veranda table even if available, which is a bit frustrating. Overall, highly recommended!
We absolutely loved this lodge—such a peaceful, cozy gem tucked away in the Mopane forest, perfect for unwinding after a long drive en route to Etosha or Swakopmund. The staff were top-notch, as always with Gondwana Collection lodges, delivering that warm Namibian hospitality. And also a fabulous cat Sasha who stole the show!
