We booked a room here on our honeymoon tour around Scotland and it turned out to be the best hotel we stayed at in the country. Not only did the staff work so professionally, they were also so personable. As a treat for our honeymoon, the staff gave us a gift of chocolates in our room when we arrived with a honeymoon card, as well as a dessert when dining in the restaurant. The restaurant was one of our highlights, if you are staying in the hotel do not miss it. The food was delicious, very well seasoned, and presented beautifully. Moreover, the staff in the restaurant were also so helpful, giving suggestions and recommendations and giving attention to us without being overbearing. The room looked out over the lawn with the towns cathedral in the distance. There was both a bath and a shower, the television was modern with a clean image, there were plenty of free coffees, teas and snacks in the room, and the bed was very comfy indeed. Don’t miss breakfast! The great food from the dinner in the restaurant remains during breakfast time too!
I will be returning. This is a very special hotel.
Lovely hotel and delicious food. We loved the location and the pool area and facilities. Only issue we had was the heat. It was particularly mild for November and the staff weren’t able to adjust the temperature. We were given a dusty and broken fan to combat the heat but sadly no one came forward with an apology when we brought it to staff that we had to leave the window open wide all night to try combat the heat. I know it wasn’t the individuals fault but good customer service would apologise to the customer and none of the 4 staff we spoke to about it offered an apology and they seemed disgruntled about it too.
It was a lovely stop over on the way to the highlands and was dog friendly which was excellent, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, it was in a beautiful location , highly recommended
