It was an amazing stay for my wife and I. It was after a long work trip in other parts of France for the two of us, and we decided to spend a few nights at the George V Paris. We were thrilled. It was a late arrive for us at close to midnight, but the team was ready for us. The person who opened the car door for us knew exactly who we where and quickly escorted us to the Front Desk ( my apologies as we were so tired when we arrived and I did not get to ask for the name of the gentleman who was the doorman). Louise at the Front Desk was efficient, warm and friendly. She knew exactly who we were even before we handed over our passports for check in. The manager on duty Karen was clearly on top of her game. She made my wife and I felt extremely welcome while Louise took care of the check in process. The two of them had good chemistry and the check in felt swift. Knowing we were traveling from a different city from a long train ride, they called the lobby restaurant right away to secure a reservation for us. Louise even took the extra step of walking us over to the restaurant to introduce us to the restaurant team so they knew to expect us after we check into our room and drop off our personal items. That is what caring feels like. After we checked into our room, the Bellman Arnalt showed up shortly after us and quickly unloaded everything and explained the room to us and make sure there wasn't anything else we needed. We were so impressed with the beautiful Room Service amenities and the very kind note from the GM. The food at the Lobby Restaurant was incredible, the young lady Claire who took our order gave great recommendation made us feel welcome and at ease even though it was close to midnight. The gentleman who I believe is the manager of the restaurant (sorry I did not get his name) also was kind and welcoming. He told us not to rush as the kitchen was standing by for us. It made us feel like we were the only guests there. The fancy mac and cheese on that menu was something out of this world. (Please send me the recipe if possible. My wife talks about it at least twice a week). After our amazing late night meal, we took a hot shower, and had probably one of the best sleep in the past few months. The room was well kept and it did not feel like an aged hotel. we could see that part of the hotel rooms were being renovated but the hotel felt calm and orderly. The next morning we have had the pleasure of dining at the V for breakfast. The room is obviously gorgeous, and the food was again outstanding. But the person I was truly impressed was Arnalt who was taking care of our breakfast experience. He was a true gentleman with great charisma. He was calming and welcoming no matter if he was only serving one table or when he was serving 6 tables at the same time toward the end of our breakfast. Superb services. Top rated hotel with a blend of Italian and French as it’s positioned. Family liked feelings. Definitely made you a reason to come back again!

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 2 nights. For $2000/night, I expected services similar to Four Seasons. However, it fell short in the following areas. Room service prices were outlandish, Chicken consume soup for 40 Euros?! The restaurants are not digitally connected to the front desk. They have no ideas that the person making the reservation or dinning there is a hotel guest? I got a Tier 2 table at their Michelin rated restaurant for my wife’s birthday? The head waiter was polite but did not talk to us as he did to other guests perhaps thinking we were not guests until I charged the 560 Euro dinner to our room. I tried to change 220 CHF to Euros at FD, and 3 attendants spent more than 15 minutes figuring out what to do and how to do it? When I checked out I received a blank invoice via email?!

Wow. C'est Super. Truly one of my favorite Luxury Boutique City Hotels in the world. (& I am a long time global traveler). Why?.. 1. Beauty, Chic, Peaceful elegance, Service! with true joy, Location...walk to the best spots, Quality ..bedding & towels, room sizes, bathrooms, high ceilings, design, unique spa area, spectacularly clean, attention to detail, entry flowers, delicious bistro (one of our two favorite breakfasts in all of France: the hot cocoa with non dairy milk if you wish and the fluffy croissants..mon dieu :) ), Billecart-Salmon champagne, hooks for your purse at the bar, the art, the design....the flowers, . . . and a je ne c'est quoi that all together makes this truly a divine spot... The 5 star reviews are spot on..yes there is warmth & professionalism that is balanced perfectly. I have been telling my friends and colleagues it is the place to go in Paris. Frankly, I liked it better than some of the Palace hotels....same service, yet more warmth. This was just what my daughter and I were looking for as we were getting her settled into her graduate program at Parsons, nearly around the corner. The whatsapp connection with concierge was such a relief & so helpful. Are you looking for a respite from the city, yet may enjoy wondering ”wait is that so and so....” and yes it probably is. Did you know this is the creation of Thierry, the Voltaire behind Voltaire & Zadig, and an incredible team he has crafted...from Emilie P to Frank to Lucas & more...?! The art director, Frank, is also the art director at Harpers Paris; I had the chance to meet these kind, humble stars. What it tells me is how involved the creators are with CV - This is a great sign. Emilie P, the directrice generale, is a gem who seems born into this role. She brings an expertise to her natural talent in ensuring the hotel is running smoothly & seamlessly. Crafting a leading top hotel globally, takes blending form, art and function; She is a pivotal asset to this success. Emilie has been on board since before they opened; I loved learning more about the thought and details that went into every aspect of the marvelous Chateau Voltaire. I will be updating with photos soon. I am dreaming of returning. Special shouts outs to Lucas, chief concierge, Jeanne, Davy from St Malo, Michelle covering the evening, Antoine who also sings Opera (tell him its your birthday :), Victoire who greeted us, Clothilde, Matheo, Laurent, Samba, Gabrielle and Carine... Oh and my room was by the elevator and yet so quiet. I was kindly upgraded to a larger room and now I am hooked..high ceilings, large bathroom, impeccable everything...oh and small bottles of hand sanitizers by the bedside...what a unique and smart touch.

I loved the hotel and will stay again. We loved the Eiffel Tower room. They gave us an upgrade as well to room 408 which was lovely. The food in both restaurants was some of the best food we ended up having and that’s a big statement when in Paris. The area is one of my favorite because it’s not filled with tourists. There are way more locals than tourist. Great shopping and food in the area
