Welcome to the our Mt Hood Cabin! Nestled in a stunning neighborhood with picturesque walking trails and old growth trees. We are located along the Wild and Scenic Zigzag River in the lush Mt. Hood National Forest! Brand-new remodel, this wood cabin has all original bones with modern updates. 2500 square feet, we have 4 queen beds, a bunk bed with a trundle, sleep 12!Perfectly located, we're 15 minutes from Mt. Hood, 45 minutes from PDX Airport, with many high-quality restaurants nearby.Please be aware of a recent unexpected event at the property. During a storm, an 80–100 year old Douglas fir tree fell onto the back porch, damaging both the porch and the hot tub.For guest safety, the back deck and hot tub are currently unavailable while repairs are being planned. We also hope you spend your holidays with us, so we’ve stocked our kitchen with large serving plates, bowls, wine glasses, coffee mugs, BBQ utensils, steak knives and more to ensure your serving needs are covered. Pull up a seat at the breakfast bar with room for four, or pull up to the large, solid wood dining table with room for 12. The adjoining living/dining room will bring the warmth of family into the space, not to mention warmth from the indoor wood-burning stove. We understand that most guests won't want to leave the home at all but don't miss out on a chance to take in a forest bath, listen to the songbirds and watch the clouds pass along on the mountainside on one of our four outdoor spaces. Conveniently located at the crossroads of HWY 224 and SE Lake Road, our home, cottage and garden are the last remnants of a time gone by and what was once a large family farm.When you walk through the private gate leading to the cottage, you might feel you have stepped through a portal into another time. Everything about the cottage is secluded, peaceful and private.Decorated throughout with stain glass and treasures from the past, the cottage also is equipped with High Speed WIFI internet and a smart TV. We are very pleased to have so many repeat visitors, many who have family in the area. The garden features a waterfall, chairs and table, BBQ and fresh herbs.Should you feel inspired by the many farmers markets in our area, we have a fully equipped kitchen with most appliances, plates, and silverware and a fully stocked lauder and pantry. We have a 3 night minimum stay.
