Lovely location. Dog friendly and nice food. Room was very spacious and comfortable and very clean. We took our dog and were allowed to eat in the bar area with the dog and same with breakfast. Very friendly staff. Worth a visit. Great surrounding towns and villages to visit

A real gem of a place! Steve is a fantastic host who made us feel very welcome at The Greyhound. A great mix of a traditional pub but with modernly decorated and very comfortable bedrooms. Evening meals and breakfasts were first class and a very friendly atmosphere throughout the place. Thanks Steve...definitely hope to come back soon!

Our second visit here and it was as good as our first. No doubt we will be back! Friendly welcoming place. Meals excellent. There was a quiz whilst we were there which we did. We found out and need to remember ‘Barnsley’ will be an answer!!

Host was great and friendly, room was spacious and breakfast was good .. It is an old property so has plenty of character and the kids loved it .. would absolutely consider this again

in Bedale for a short stay six of us visited the Greyhound on Thursday night ( Steak Night ) , the steaks ( from a local butcher ) were excellent , the service was great , we all had a fantastic time . Thank you very much .

Great place for our one night stay, the room was clean and quiet and the hosts friendly. Breakfast was a great bonus.

The twin room was airy and bright, warm and clean. Ample Tea and Coffee (with biscuits) Bed was comfortable. staff were attentive and efficient. The bar was well kept and friendly. Breakfast was comprehensive, well cooked and piping hot.

Four excellent days at the Greyhound. The accommodation is excellent and very comfortable. Steve is a very friendly host with a good knowledge of the area and made us feel so welcome. We ate in the restaurant on each evening as the food was of a very high standard and beautifully prepared and presented. The breakfasts were substantial and set you up for the day and were freshly cooked. Would recommend without hesitation. Thank you Steve for ensuring we had a lovely stay. Hope the Charity Event went off well on Saturday despite the weather.

5* . Great place to stay. Bedroom was very large and immaculately clean. Food was very good and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Steve the host was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. The locals made you feel welcome too Overall a fantastic 3 night stay
