Tucked beneath the magnificent pines, sits this vintage 1946 storybook cabin, with 2 cozy bedrooms and a downstairs pillow-topped sofabed that becomes a queen. The living room has a wood fireplace and room to seat several people among the knotty pine decor. Enjoy the large back deck nearly year-round, dining outdoors at a teakwood table, or looking up through the behemoth pines above you as you sway in the hammock and breathe the fresh mountain air, each season with its own distinct flavor. The cabin is flanked on the left by an empty wooded lot, as well as behind. To the right set back from the property is another gorgeous vacation cabin that is almost always vacant. This vintage cabin contains both heating and AC.The large 3/4 bathroom with it's lengthy countertop and mirror has enough room for several people.The AreaLess than a mile from Lake Gregory, with multiple walking trails in all directions, enjoy the idyllic scenery by car or foot in any season. The cabin sits on the highest point of the corner and the view of the ridgeline and the Lake Gregory is breathtaking!, there is no neighbor looking over you!! The step up fully stocked kitchen and the dining area over looking the living room with 55" ROKU TV connected to the home theater system is great for those game/fight nights!! There is wood burning stove in the living room is perfect for those winter nights!! The master bedroom has 46" Sony Bravia TV with Fire stick. And Serta adjustable (Head tilt) bed. The downstair room has computer desk/chair for those who needs to work or homework to get done and get connected with office/class etc. There is fast Wifi throughout the house. Kids will love their HIDDEN LOFT access via Heaven Gate!! (not in the picture, let them discover it!!) The brand new concrete driveway, retaining wall and multiple safety rails construction just barely done in Dec 2020. The long and sloping side yard is perfect for sledding in snowy days!! (see pic). We just added the additional safety fence on Jan 2021. The spacious backyard is great for the kids and it's rarely find in mountain area. At The Red Acorn Retreat you have a great lake location with both hillside and lake views. Centrally located to Lake Gregory, Lake Arrowhead, Snow Valley (35 minutes) and Big Bear (1 hour).Our home is well equipped for a weekend trip or a longer stay. The lower level is an open concept living room, dining area and kitchen. Here you will also find the bathroom as well as a bedroom with a queen bed. Here you will also have access to two decks with seating areas and additional dining space perfect for enjoying the serene setting. The living room and lower bedroom are both equipped with smart TVs. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking necessities along with a Coffee and tea station, featuring a Nespresso machine. Upstairs you will find a bedroom with two full sized beds as well as a primary bedroom with a private deck and views of both Lake Gregory and Mt Baldy. Upstairs we also have a dedicated office space for remote work and the house is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi with 500 Mbps speeds.If you are heading out to the lake beach chairs are available for your use as well as snow sleds in the winter months. We are a short drive to lakes, state parks and hiking trails.Our home has been fully modernized for current lifestyles, from high end appliances, rain shower head, USB outlets in all rooms, 220v EV charger to a full house AC and heat (which can be rare in the mountains). Our property is surrounded by pine trees and makes you fee like you are separated from the world!The perfect living room with fireplace and game table have lots of windows to let in the light and give a view of the amazing trees. The huge upstairs room has the best cabin feel with all the coziness you can handle.Only a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the lake but you may not want to leave the hideaway! Lake Gregory has so many things to do and see! Or even just do the 2 mile loop walk around the Lake to check it all out!We have everything you need to stay in or venture out!
