Nestled in an idyllic setting, our hotel offered a personal balcony that opened up to breathtaking views of the serene countryside. Evening strolls through the charming paro market were just a short walk away, adding a touch of local culture to our stay. The hotel is exclusively vegetarian, but with numerous nearby restaurants, non-vegetarians will find plenty of options to savor. Our overall experience was truly wonderful, a perfect blend of comfort and beauty.
We, a family of 6, 2 senior citizens, 2 adults, 1 9 yr kid and 1 infant stayed in khamsum thimpu and khamsum paro in april 2024 end. Their manager mrs. Usmita was very cordial during our stay. The rooms given to us were fantastic. Being a veg hotel, amazing jain food was easily available at their restaurant. For a few local dishes, mars usmita actually went out of the menu and made us enjoy the delicacies. (for jains like me, there is a veg cafe named mountain cafe, very close by at both places which even has a jain / vegan menu) mrs usmita helped arrange for one of the best hot stone baths in paro for all of us. My 9 year kid too enjoyed it a lot. Absolute value for money hotel. A must book place for jain, vegan and vegetarian travellers.
Location is on main road, away from market. Food is good. Amenities are v good. Service is excellent. Hot stone bath at the property is excellent. Staff is courteous, good n v polite. Overall we had a fantastic stay at the hotel.
The positive thing, the location is very nice, right at the riverside.
Now the negative… for starters, staff at the reception, especially those boys, needs more training on how to handle guest requests. Their attitude is not helpful, borderline rude sometimes. One staff tells you something and a minute later you hear exactly the contradictory thing from another staff. Very confusing and frustrating. Don’t expect 5 star service here …
Let’s move on to the amenities. The rooms are simple and clean, but very outdated, the floor queaks and you clearly hear footsteps from above.
Then there is the spa… first of all, you need to inform them 20-30 mins before you want to use the sauna in order for the staff to turn it on. Then the steam room had really dirty floor which a kinda of unknown black gluey thing sticking to your feet, kinda disgusting. When I told the spa staff about it, then they just ignored it.
Finally, the food in the one and only restaurant, last recipe, was „underwhelming“, if you want it said in a polite way. The pizza dough was still raw when it was served to us.
I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again but I guess this is your only choice if you want a safe option besides Aman or Six Senses.

HHaleoNice place, very friendly staff. Simple hotel with a pleasant peaceful area. If you want to get outside the hotel there is basically nothing and you're not too close to any town area, that's the only downside. You need a taxi to all towns, treks and the airport
