「Great location 5 minutes walk from train station and city centre. One of very few places that allows pets to stay. There is an extra £10 charge per night for but well worth it if you need to have your pet with you. Rooms are clean and functional. Well designed bathroom space with a good sized shower cubicle. There’s also a good heating/cooling system that works great.」

「Couln't do online check in so a bit of a wait at reception . Lovely rooms with 2 king size beds . We attended a gala dinner which was well organised , the food and service was excellent .」

「This is the most beautiful old hotel in Leicester, and I have a strong sentimental attachment to it, but it clearly makes its money through hiring the glorious ballroom out for corporate events at the expense of anyone actually staying there.  I had asked for a quiet room but was placed at the front which is already noisy due to the busy street, and then was not warned that a ridiculously, horribly loud function was taking place right below me in the hotel. It was like trying to sleep above a particularly nasty nightclub playing diabolical music. There were drunken corporate goons falling in and out of the door and I was treated very disrespectfully by the receptionist when I finally went downstairs to complain near to midnight.  Guests are clearly not important. I strongly recommend calling before you book to see if this is going to happen on the dates you choose. I was in town for an extremely important job and arrived tired and late due to being kept awake for hours.」

「Nice modern hotel. Rooms are a good size for a family with 2 young kids. Easy check-in and free drinks for all on arrival. Good service at the bar too.」

「Walls and doors are not sound proof. It gets noisy as people talk and walk in the corridor. Squeaky noise from the floor both inside and outside the room.」

「We just needed an overnight stay while visiting family nearby but the room was spacious and ideal for what we needed. We checked in very late but I had the chance to use the spa facilities the next morning and they were fantastic - a good size pool and excellent steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. We will definitely come back to the hotel if we need to stay in the area again.」
