Easy entry although I was almost late. Good instructions for if I had been late. The room was clean and comfortable as was the en-suite. It was quiet even though there were a lot of rooms. Close to great eating places for both dinner and breakfast. I recommend it as a great budget place to stay.

良い点と悪い点がありました。チェックインの20分前に到着したのですが、大丈夫だろうと思っていました。ところがそうではありませんでした。受付の女性は私がカウンターに立っているのに気付いたようで、待合室で個人的な会話をしていて、私を無視していました。ようやく彼女が来たと思ったら、早すぎるとかなり失礼な態度で言われ、20分後に戻ってくるように言われました。私たちはコーヒーを飲んでから戻ると、サービスデスクでとても丁寧な男性が待っていて、チェックイン手続きをしてくれましたが、部屋への行き方は曖昧でした。 部屋に着いて、引き戸から外に出ようとした時、段差が約24cmもあることに気づき（私のような背の低い人間にとっては、誰にとっても大きな段差です）、足首を捻挫してしまいました。足が腫れてしまいました。チェックアウト時にそのことを伝えたのですが、ドアに注意書きと何が起こったのかを掲示しておくべきだったと思います。対応してくれた女性（別の女性）は私の足のことなど気にも留めていませんでした。 それ以外は、部屋は快適で、街の中心部や美味しいレストランにもとても近かったです。 デメリットもあったけれど、また泊まりたい。

We stayed for one night before starting our North Island trip. I liked that we could park right in front of the room, which was convenient. However, the overall facilities were just average. The bathroom fan was quite noisy, and the sound continued for a while even after the light was turned off.

Excellent property with an equally spectacular view of the bay from the Moulin Rouge suite. Everything you will need to enjoy your stay has been thought of and provided by the hosts. Blue tooth music player? Check. Chest set with medieval figurines? Check. Cosy electric fireplace? Check. Spa bath with romantic candles ? Check. Washing machine with dryer? Check. Fully equipped kitchen with spices and cooking oil ? Check. Electric blanket? Check. You have your own parking spot , just don’t drive a big car/van cos parking space is tight. The property is up a hill. If you don’t have a car, the walk to the lake side takes quite an effort. If only we could have met the owners personally and got to know them better. In fairness the owners Sharron and Paul did indicate they live on site and is contactable 24/7. Check in instructions were sent to you via email and you check out by simply shutting the door and leaving. Overall, a highly recommended stay.

Such a beautiful location right on the waters edge. I stayed in one of the four standalone cabins. Each had their own covered outdoor seating area facing the water which was great when it was both sunny and raining. The cabin was clean and had all the equipment I needed. I was impressed that they provided washing up liquid, scrubbing brushes etc as often these sorts of things are not provided. There was no air con but fans were provided which helped and the bed was comfortable. The shower/kitchen block was close by with plenty of toilets and two showers. Both showers were hot and powerful, although one was so powerful it was painful! The other was much better. The kitchen /laundry area was well equipped although the oven was missing the shelves inside. Again it was all very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunlit Bay Villas in Taipa. The space is great, very comfortable to stay in, and the location is excellen. The villas were spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The internet connection is a bit weak, but if this is not a major issue for you, it does not affect the overall experience. Overall, we highly recommend Sunlit Bay Villas to families and groups of friends, especially as a stop when travelling to Cape Reinga.

I didn't know what to expect when I booked this establishment. It looked OK though I thought I might find it a bit further from the main Paihia town than I liked, but it turned out that I really enjoyed the walk to and from the town. We've booked ourselves in the cruise to Hole in the Rock the next day and talking to the helpful staff, we booked the spa followed by dinner at The Glass House on that day and we really enjoyed our day. The massage and facial was really relaxing, and the dinner was superb. On top of that, I love the room we had which was just by the pool. We are able to enjoy the hot tub which was really relaxing too. Everything was just fantastic. Overall the hotel was just a joy to stay in and I was glad I booked 3 nights.

Absolutely fantastic place. The staff are amazing & so helpful. Food was spectacular, menu is small but that makes choosing so much easier. Will definitely be back 

スタッフはとてもフレンドリーでした。ビーチ、レストランなどから徒歩圏内にあり、良い宿泊施設には良い価格でした。私たちの枕は少し平らだったので、小さなものは余分な枕など、完全な5つ星の評価を得ることができました。5日間の旅行で4人用の3ロールのシングルプレーリーとしてトイレットペーパーが追加されましたが、全体的には良い経験でした。洗濯物は少し時代遅れだったので、私たちは道路の下のランドリーマットを使用しました、そして、私たちがチェックインしたときに知らされたらジムやレストランがどこにあるかわかりませんでした。

A good place to break one's journey from Paihia via opinoni and waipoura forests back to Auckland. Dargaville is a small town with several Asian restaurants (recommend Suphan Thai in town) and a Woolworth's. This motel is located in the suburbs - a quiet and peaceful area away from traffic. Was surprised that the unit came with a kitchen (stove, fridge microwave oven) even though the room description only mentioned a LCD TV. WiFi was functional but slower than other places. Bedding was good. We couldn't find a hairdryer in the room.
