Comfortable beds, I had a really good sleep. Great room amenities except that there is no individual fridge in room and the shared fridge in the common area is small. Just few minutes drive away from the city center. There is a restaurant run by the hotel, price is on the higher end but food is just so-so.
Location was decent for a small town, with a mini mart nearby and several dining options around.
The staff were very nice and friendly. One of my family members wasn’t sure how to use the heated blanket, so they didn’t take it out, which made it look like the room wasn’t used. The next day, the staff actually called to check if we were okay, as they were concerned we might have caught a cold from not using the heated blanket. I thought that was a really thoughtful gesture.
Nice quiet place to spend a night. We chose to stay in the deluxe rain forest room which was secluded and relaxing. They are located close to all of the tourist attractionsand also on the beach front.
We were just passing through and were on the premises for around 15 hours. The reception was great and welcoming. The room had everything we needed and we had a lovely one-night stay.
Convenient location to stay for a night before the glacier hike the next day. Love their password lock, making it easy. All kitchen utensils and bathroom amenities are provided.

ゲゲストI chose this hotel because it was right in town with complimentary parking. Views of the river and up the Grey Valley were nice.
Chose not to dine here, as the restaurant was in the bar and quite small.
Sadly, there was mo aircon in the room or any building air circulation, which made the room a bit stuffy and certainly warm. There was a plug-in, free-standing fan. The door to the small balcony could open but it had no screen, so flies came in.
The shower tray filled with water after each shower. Not a pleasant experience.
I couldn't get the room safe to work....seemed like the lock was jammed on.
Towels were fluffy and crisp white.
Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows and extra blankets.
Good size tv with large selection of channels.
Mini fridge, complimentary tea, coffee and milk etc.
TThoe FongWe arrived around 9pm ish and the property was quite dark. The reception desk had a note stick on the door indicating our room assignment. We had booked 2 rooms, but unfortunately, both had bugs (moths) in them.
Since we arrived late, there were no open stores or restaurants nearby, not even a convenience store. We found a nearby bar online that was advertised as being open until 1am, but when we called, they informed us they were closing early due to a quiet night. However, they were kind and prepared some chips, samosas and spring rolls for us, which we appreciated as it was our only option for dinner.
For future guests arriving late, I highly recommend advising them to purchase food in advance.
SSandraHoRimu Lodge was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Sue Allen, made us feel incredibly welcome. Our room was beautifully decorated and offered a breathtaking view, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the fresh milk for our tea and coffee to the complimentary drinks and chocolates, all adding to the sense of warmth and hospitality.
Breakfast was exceptional, with a delicious selection of cooked options to choose from. The entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. I highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully appreciate the charm and comfort of this remarkable lodge.
ゲゲストThe male receptionist who greeted us was not particularly friendly; and only when we got to our first floor room did we read about a luggage service. The room was tastefully furnished and clean, and other staff we interacted with were friendly. However the biggest issue is that the walls between rooms are are paper thin so we could hear people next door and doors banging. This woke us up early on both nights we stayed. If you stay - bring ear plugs. There was a lounge with a bar - the bar was permanently closed so there was no where to get a hot or cold drink unless you went to a cafe down the road.
