I didn't know what to expect when I booked this establishment. It looked OK though I thought I might find it a bit further from the main Paihia town than I liked, but it turned out that I really enjoyed the walk to and from the town. We've booked ourselves in the cruise to Hole in the Rock the next day and talking to the helpful staff, we booked the spa followed by dinner at The Glass House on that day and we really enjoyed our day. The massage and facial was really relaxing, and the dinner was superb. On top of that, I love the room we had which was just by the pool. We are able to enjoy the hot tub which was really relaxing too. Everything was just fantastic. Overall the hotel was just a joy to stay in and I was glad I booked 3 nights.
Accomodation was satisfactory. However, on our check out day we overslept and past our check out time. Instead of trying to contact us, hotel reception unlocked our doors and woke us up. Although the fault is entirely ours, this striked as a security and safety concern to us.
Absolutely fantastic place. The staff are amazing & so helpful. Food was spectacular, menu is small but that makes choosing so much easier.
Will definitely be back
Nice environment. Clean unit. Comfortable. Minor complaint would be that the lighting was a little dim and could have done with coffee plunger in room. Did not eat at hotel restaurant.
Good place to stay.

匿匿名ユーザーA good place to break one's journey from Paihia via opinoni and waipoura forests back to Auckland. Dargaville is a small town with several Asian restaurants (recommend Suphan Thai in town) and a Woolworth's. This motel is located in the suburbs - a quiet and peaceful area away from traffic. Was surprised that the unit came with a kitchen (stove, fridge microwave oven) even though the room description only mentioned a LCD TV. WiFi was functional but slower than other places. Bedding was good. We couldn't find a hairdryer in the room.
MMyrkStyrStayed for 2 nights with wife and 8 year old son. The staff was super kind and welcoming. Our suite had amazing wraparound views of the bay. Parking spot was free and right next to our suite. WiFi was a bit spotty. Comfy bed. Walk to the beach was 10 min. Wonderful cafe in 2-3 min walk. The town was beautiful as well. Short drive north to the hot water beach was fun. I really liked this place. We made sure to clean up and do our dishes as note said extra fee if you left dirty dishes. Would highly recommend.
ゲゲストA return trip to the Copthorne - I do like this place. The bathroom again needs an upgrade and the fridge is too small. All else was good which is why I keep returning. Have never eaten in the Hotel so cannot comment. Bar staff are scarce and usually distracted. But I keep coming back……..a beautiful location, close enough to the township but far enough away. I will be back - in fact have already booked for late April 😎👍🏻 Enjoy….
JJohannaAbout the hotel itself: certainly it’s no luxury experience, but it is a solid, clean basic hotel perfectly located at the marina if you want to go snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving at poor knights or enjoy (walking at) the beautiful tutukaka coast. The walls of the rooms are a bit thin and you can hear everything through the wall. However, it’s a fair value for money and there are basically no alternatives available.
