We paid to upgrade to a bigger room and have zero regrets! It was incredibly spacious and lovely. We were floored the moment we walked in and the curtains opened to reveal those stunning floor-to-ceiling windows.
The in-house bar was another highlight—a cozy cafe by day that transforms into a cool bar at night. We ended up spending four hours there! Our bartender, Xiaoya, was so young and energetic we. You can really feel her hard work and passion; we had a great time drinking and sharing life stories with her. Also, the local food recommendation from the receptionist was superb. Everything about this hotel and Yanji exceeded expectations—we definitely should have planned a longer stay!
The only downside was the water temperature; it kept fluctuating between hot and cold, making us feel like we were doing the 'cha-cha' in the shower! To make matters worse, the hairdryer was broken and we couldn't reach the front desk by phone. Luckily, my boyfriend went down to grab a replacement. (I suspect they might unplug the phones at night for safety reason?) Despite those hiccups, I’d love to come back. Yanji is so underrated

DdavidywangI had a really good experience staying at Garden Hotel. The location is really convenient and quiet, which was great as I was here on a work trip. There’s also a lounge on the top floor that provides a range of snacks and tea options, and a nice view of the city. Breakfast options were also very good and delicious. Looking forward to another stay in the future!
