We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Sheila in particular is exceptionally well mannered. Old fashioned politeness. The fixtures and fittings are all of a good quality. The carpets are plush. The food is very tasty. The choice of food is very wide. Steve and Sheila are on hand throughout the day to help with enquiries. The garden is delightful. I particularly commend this establishment for having a Holy Bible in our room. Other places are less prone to let the guests decide for themselves whether or not to read this great book. All in all we are very pleased.
Great location right in the midst of it. Excellent food and service. Car park is a bonus. Hotel itself has loads of character. No complaints. We would definitely go back.
Room dirty.
Dusty floors and skirting.
The walls had been painted around the TV and headboard. Cracks in the ceiling which had been painted over. Stains on the throw on the bed possibly blood?

Hotel was very comfortable and clean. On the website it was listed along with other hotels as breakfast included but this wasn’t the case with the Pilgrim Hotel when we arrived we told the breakfast was an extra.
