Booed through trip.com. Made a mistake in my booking and booed a room that required disabled access. This was pointed out by a very helpful young lady called Laura (I think?) She amended our booking and very gratefully gave us a sea view room! We had stayed in Paignton the previous night in the Travelodge down the road as it was a bit cheaper. If/when we come again I’d have no hesitation in paying the extra and staying here again. Please thank the wonderful Laura from us! 👍

The spa is incredible, so relaxing. Ideal location with about 10 mins walk to Harbour and to Meadfoot beach. Breakfast was on the small side but tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are okay, clean, but for 4* I’d expect a bit more like an iron in the room, toiletries, wash cloths etc. Didn’t sleep that well unfortunately as was woken up by people coming back to room as doors are loud and corridor floors are creaky. This let it down, but I’d return for the spa experience!
Fantastic hotel totally loved it. One major gripe which the Hampton can’t help is that the lights from the premier inn are so bright and on all night. We like to have our curtains open but couldn’t!! Nightmare

We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service.
Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing.
The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay.
I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped.
Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet.
However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'.
We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.

ゲゲストOverall a great stay, receptionists were welcoming, although a little bit more effort could have gone into directing me to the room as the grounds are so big I got a little lost. On entering the building where my room was located the carpet definitely needs to be upgraded, my room was nice and clean. It had a sink, and an ironing board and iron which I was very impressed with, it also had two wardrobes one with a kettle on top and one with hangers inside. The grounds are lovely, the garden is spectacular, it would be a perfect setting for a wedding. The staff in White Hart are lovely and the customer service provided by them was great. (Two males) thank you. On the Friday they had a live band (male / female) singing the old classics for VE Day that was great. The food was also nice. I would defo stay here again.
GGillfromUKThe Mercure is centrally located 5 mins walk from the centre of the city and the Cathedral. Our room on the third floor was clean and serviceable although some of the furniture had seen better days. Car parking is available and costs £15 per day which is cheaper than the public car parking across the road. Families note, pool costs £10/adult. (Children free)
ゲゲストour room was clean but did not smell fresh - it smelt musty . we also were cold with quite a thin duvet and no provision of extra blankets, we did arrive very late and as a result we did not go back down to reception to ask for more blankets or ask to swap rooms but did alert reception staff on departure. we used the leisure facilities - Pool was rather cool but a good size and clean. We have stayed in other Crowne Plaza hotels but this time felt this hotel did not quite meet the usual standards.
ゲゲストThe Palace Hotel was a delight to stay at. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and we were surprised to have evening entertainment. We went on a budget and were delighted with the hotel.
Only thing to add was the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a new set, I understand having orgional features is nice, however, I think new would be better.
Also we were told breakfast would be £9.00 each on arrival, but when we went to pay it what a whopping £27.00 for a full English (1 of each item) amd some avocado and boiled egg on toast... of course we could have the continental... but it did make us cough a bit!! The service was great though.
Overall great stay would recommend and return.
ゲゲストIn general people will pay anything for good service, arrived on 31st Oct early evening the man at the reception had a cowboy hat on, couldnt even smile or speak kindly nor welcomely, I thought for a second maybe its a spooky Halloween but no it wasn't he was cold, I wasn't pleased as a parent arriving with a young teen in a very busy hotel lobby with half naked patrons loud music and unfortunately the next morning the man was there and we tried to ask questions about the amenities and parking he was cold and made us feel like we didn't deserve to be there almost racially discriminative but in no words. Its a fresh recently opened hotel but the service recieved was uncalled for.
BBamikefa MosesLovely location and spacious rooms. The staff are very polite and helpful. Will recommend this place for a family especially. Gym, laundry, nice restaurants and just a walk from McDonald's, Burger king, Aldi, and Starbucks. You're sure of premium varieties.
