Many of Charlottesville's most popular attractions (Monticello/Ashlawn) are no more than 5 miles away. The wine culture here has gained national acclaim and tasting rooms at local wineries such as Veritas, Barboursville, Pollack, White Hall, Keswick, Jefferson, Glass House along with the burgeoning brewery tours of places like Blue Mountain Brewery, Three Notch'd, Devils Backbone, Champion, and Wild Wolf are within a 10-30 minutes drive and make for memorable day-trips. Stay in a beautiful, historic home in your own sunny, second story apartment. The house is traditional brick dating to 1905 and lovingly restored and furnished with local antiques. Walk to Charlottesville's historic downtown Mall as well as downtown Belmont, and The University of Virginia.
